FFFFUCK was Bismuth awesome, definitely one of my favorite fights in the show, honest to god felt like Bismuth had a real point that wasn't just "No screw off this isn't how things shoudl be", her point has some logic behind it, her point has reasoning behind it, and her disagreement with Rose makes Rose as a character seem so much more interesting.

So, Beta + Earthlings was pretty good.

I don't like Smokey Quartz's design, but other than that, they're a pretty cool fusion.

I like her well enough, it makes sense that a Steven and Amethyst fusionwould be kinda jank.

Not a fan of the three arms though. That's just weird.

Amethyst-based fusions seem to do that a lot. Every fusion with her has multiple arms so far. Of those, only Opal's are actually full arms (Sugilite and Smoky Quartz both split off somewhere down the arm)

Though I think it's more just, you know. Ignoring how space works for ease of writing.

Also, Steven really should have been in a vacuum too, yet he went on fine. As well as the rubies' ship, which probably wouldn't have life support for humans in it. I don't know what much else we need to know that Steven probably doesn't actually need to breathe.

His breathing might be thought based like his aging. If he thinks about it he needs oxygen but if he ignores it, he can still survive. Him actively aware of it might prevent his body's adaptation.

Lion's mane does counter that though, so alternatively the bubble sustain anything in it through gem magic. It would fit Rose's healing nature.

I think he does need to breathe but he needs to breathe way less than an actual human would. We've seen him survive in what is basically space for a significant period of time before without imploding or gasping for air, but he definitely was not doing great with a lack of oxygen. It seems more like the lack of it has a toll on his more like if he was on an extreme elevation. He won't die extremely quickly but the lack of oxygen starts shutting him down.

'cause Steven and Amethyst together = jank. Honestly it's kiiiinda growing on me. Still weird, though

Also, Sardonyx is a huge hypocrite. She got on Smoky's case about breaking walls, and then she fucked the fourth one right up!
