And him resignedly heelying away was great.

Anyway...

this was a very strange episode. I kinda had a bit of trouble following it, tbh. Might have just been me.

100% confirmed that the explosion at the end of the gem war was created by the diamonds and is what corrupted the gems
Also confirmed that it's mental damage and not physical, therefore cannot be healed by Steven
It seems to have only affected non-damaged gems, given that Lapis and Amethyst (who had not fully formed and therefore wasn't whole) are both fine, and the cluster experiments form humanoid limbs when regenning.
All gems of the same type corrupt in the same way, so if we ever saw an ice monster or a fire monster...

Hey guy's, I just watched all of this clody series in about 4 days, and I guess it was decent enough for me to come post about it… Ok it's REALLY good, I had a lot of fun, this series is way too charming and creepy for me to dislike! So much fun.

As for (last few episodes spoilers) Jasper, she's pretty clearly gathering (corrupted) gems in order to fuse with them. She's become a fusion nuts and she'll probably try to fuse with more and more corrupted gems. I'd bet that this'll end up backfiring and corrupting her too, or at least be an unpleasant experience.

Hoooooooooly shit, that last episode. I should be really worried about how Amethyst is going to handle this, but WHO CARES WE GOT TO SEE STEVONNIE KICK JASPER'S booty

Also, I saw someone point out that the corrupted gems Jasper's collecting are other forms of jasper. I think they were biggs jasper and ocean jasper.
