Also, that lapis back story was...i dunno, kinda disappointing.

Also also, why is lapis rustled at the cgs? The gem that poofed her seemed fairly homeworld, so bodaciously everything that happened there was entirely homeworld's fault. And yet, she's more willing to go to the planet that imprisoned and impersecuted her once already than just...like, talking to the people who did bodaciously nothing to her other than be IN the war she got caught up in?

we don't know if a homeworld gem poofed her or what, but at the end of the day she was trapped in a mirror because of a war she didn't want to fight for an extremely long time. her fears wouldn't be rational. especially to gems who not only started the war but also fought against her side.

Man, you really felt for Peri this episode. Sure, Lapis has legitimate reasons to dislike her, and wasn't around for the character development, but daisies, poor peri.

Also, that pirate Ruby seems really impractical. How are you supposed to punch something without depth perception?

Sapphire doesn't have depth perception either yet she's apparently good at baseball when not distracted by stupid sexy ruby

This excuse plot is so much of an excuse that it's kind of great

I loved this episode but what the actual fuck did i just watch and why did CN make this the end of the thing

I realized something watching this episode and I have a new theory now:

The leader of that group of Rubies had yellow shades. Garnet also has shades with that same shape and she's essentially the leader of the Crystal Gems. Peridot ALSO has those shades, so I'm pretty convinced she was the leader of something on Homeworld.
