Though what this means for resurrecting in Homestuck is interesting. Any time you die for any reason, you become a ghost. The John we followed from panel 1 died for good on his quest bed, and we've been following a duplicate ever since. From his perspective, unless he were to meet John now, he thinks he failed and Vriska tricked him.
Same goes for all the other deaths. Rose Lalonde died to Jack, and the Rose who god tiered was not the same one.

The John we followed from panel 1 died in the offshoot timeline Davesprite comes from. Well, as much as doomed timelines count in this manner. But it was still a necessary death for the alpha timeline with alpha John & co. to go on. The way I understood his godtiering is that John's mind was permanently transferred to the dreamself body (while also acquiring godtier powers), while his realself body on the quest bed is just a corpse with no consciousness to leave for the afterlife.

john's original, non-dreamself body has a ghost who seems fully conscious. it's confirmed that losing one body does mean it gets a ghost, so presumably it's not just one consciousness, but rather two separate consciousness that players somehow switch between. sollux would have three.

Woah, the what update? It's entirely possible this was covered some time in the past and I forgot, but I'm pretty sure I'm completely caught up with the newest pages.

Welp, looks like we've got another year-long pause on our hands (8 months if he finishes it on 4/13)

it depends if he WILL post it all at once, or slowly over a longer period of time

99% done in terms of page count if it was literal would mean there are 80 pages left, going by http://readmspa.org/stats/

But I can only speculate how many minutes if not potentially hours of animation those pages might include. Its crazy but I'm still excited. I'm trying to convince the one person I know IRL to get caught back up before it ends because I want to gush about it. D:

And, wow, 80 pages? That's...not a lot. I hope he was exaggerating or that doesn't include the possible epilogue because that doesn't seem like enough to wrap anything up.

Well, it's heavily likely, due to this pause, that we're gonna see a LOT of animations. Or even a couple of walkarounds. These next big fights are definitely going to be animated, then there might be a few standard pages before the very end.

80 pages is very easily a lot of content from Hussie. Especially considering there's not many questions left to be asked other than how it's gonna end.

Not only that; he said Homestuck was 99% done, not 99% posted, he just chose this flash animation as a decent update to leave us hanging on and already has at least some content done. Plus, there's the eventuality that "99% done" was just a random figure he came up with on the spot.
