Okay so like

I have a confession to make

even though I've been reading homestuck for YEARS, I barely ever understand exactly what's going on all the time. Especially with the animations. So please excuse my exceedingly stupid question when I ask: how does that animation show a sprite becoming another sprite? Did I miss something in there???????

I like homestuck but I can never get really, actually invested in it because I have such a hard time understanding everything that's happening and I feel really stupid now.

I think it was just the sprite was flashing red and green.

I always just assumed that Callie and Caliborn's sprite was reflective of how they themselves were forced to share one body.

Calliope and Caliborn's sprites prototyped each other, creating a black hole. I am worried about jasprosesprite^2.

I don't think it's going to be a problem; even if the black hole forming was because of the two kernelsprites interacting with each other this is quite different, since it's not a loop: Rosesprite was simply second-prototype, and it just so happened that the thing she was prototyped with was another sprite (one that was already double-prototyped, and as such stable).
EDIT: the frihorse update is here. Now THAT is not omnious in the slightest

it seems a defining feature of knights is a slight bunp to the noggin is a TKO

also, this could set up karkat for some ghostly shit, maybe even dealing with whatever vriska's plan is, and maybe telling everyone that she'll probably end up killing everyone because daisies that girl cannot do anything right sometimes
