I don't get how people like, say, Gamzee, or Caliborn, or Eridan, and at the same hate Vriska. She doesn't have the highest body count, isn't motivated ENTIRELY by selfish reasons, and doesn't particularly have the most grating personality, either. It all seems kind of arbitrary.



Her repentance makes you hate her more? She paid for the horrible stuff she did when she died, right? Or if death didn't absolve her, she did make plans to stop Lord English, which must in some small way help to make up for some of her wrongs even if it was motivated in part by egotism. If that wasn't enough, what does it take?

Nothing. Sometimes you just hate people.
I hate Vriska.
I hate her so much.
I hate Caliborn, too, but my hate for Vriska is much greater.

I think you're a little too invested in your hatred for a fictional character.

tbh I don't really get the Vriska hatred at all. She's not a particularly nice person and she's done some really terrible things, but she's not supposed to be the kind of character that you wanna be friends with. She drives the story, she's flawed, she is probably the character with the most facets and who has went through the most growth and had the most introspection in the entire comic.

It's like... Tony Soprano is a huge arsehole and really despicable but you don't hate his character because he's really fascinating. Even though you'd probably never want to meet someone like him in real life.

It's combines with the hatred of people in my life who have been like Vriska to me.
As in, using me for only their benfit and then throwing me away when they're done with me. It's something she would do because she just doesn't fucking care and I am not...
Okay I'm stopping here because I'm just going to go into an angry rant that has no good points in it.
Basically, she reminds me of shitty people that made me hate myself.

I honestly don't want to make you upset, but I kind of think you're projecting a little. I mean, one of Vriska's most plot-important qualities is that she cares about her friends, even if her bullshit drives everyone away. She was gonna solo fight Bec Noir to protect them, remember?

That Terezi predicted Noir would go straight to the meteor and slaughter everyone before engaging her in combat doesn't change Vriska's intent.

Yeah, but I think from that much Gay Lightning, Aranea's souls is going to be pretty fucked if it's destroyed or not.

Well, Jake might be dead, and Terezi is going to die when Aranea let's up her mind powers, because Gamzee is going to be SO FUCKING ANGRY and just kill whatever is around him.

That new update was interesting.

Gamzee's murder face is actually pretty terrifying. It's also interesting to see that the tiara pretty much turns Jane into a brainless robot if Aranea tries to put her to sleep.
I'm surprised by Gamzee's first reaction after being released. I'm guessing he manipulated her feelings into letting her guard down, it would fit with their kismesistude.
It's still possible that he actually reverted to pre-murder self for a while before rage aspect took over his mind again.
Also, take note how he gurgles on his own blood while honking.
