Oh, so no one's worried about the guy who runs this thread, the guy who is offline with HIS LAST POSTS RELATING TO HIM WANTING TO COMMIT SUICIDE?

I can't believe this. It's like no one gives a flying fuck about him anymore. To anyone who is willing to openly admit to that, I say, FUCK YOU. My friend may just be DEAD right now and no one cares.

I may be over reacting, but shit, that boy is mentally unstable. You can never really tell with him. And I'm still extremely worried.

If someone tells you they're going to commit suicide it's more often than not an attempt at gaining sympathy/attention.

If someone really wants to commit suicide, they'll go ahead and do it and not tell you.


Incoming logic dump:

If someone really wants to commit suicide, there's a risk that anybody they tell might try to stop them doing so, thusly: anyone that tells you they're going to commit suicide really want you to try and stop them.


So, 'crying suicide' is really an underhanded, manipulative attempt by someone to see if you care enough about them to try to stop them committing suicide.

Think about it.


Also, if you give this person the response they're aiming for (sympathy/attention), they'll keep doing it; They'll keep 'crying suicide' whenever they feel like they want some attention; They'll say they're going to take their own life - just to see if you'll jump like they've 'trained' you to.

Don't feed it.

I see where you're coming from, Airigh. It's just...I don't think that people like me, who barely know Zang, can do much to comfort him.

Anyway, we're all worried about Zang

DnD, I've kind of been in his situation before- Family hates me, no friends, etc. Sure, I wasn't posting it all over this forum, but I WAS talking to anyone I thought would care about it. I was trying to stop myself.

That's exactly what Zang was doing. He was looking for help, he was looking for someone to care. He doesn't really WANT to commit suicide, but it's what he's being pushed towards- despair and depression- and hence, he was crying out for help. I'm sure he wants to see his future, and he wants to make a living.

It's hard for me to put into words, but it's not something you can just ignore. Unless you WANT him to be pushed past that point. I probably wouldn't be here if my now-boyfriend hadn't stepped in, listened, sympathized, and helped me cope.

i fail to see what the logic behind "don't tell the depressed and possibly suicidal person that you care for them and don't want them to die, just in case they might only be depressed and seeking attention" but ok whatever
