I read an Avatar artbook a while ago, and their first idea for the series was that Aang was part of a lost civilization that was very high tech compared to the rest of the world. Like some kind of cataclysm happened, and all of the airbenders were wiped out. I would've loved to see a show like that.

The part with Lin bending her suit of armor was crazy! She took out her soles to feel the earth, and then made weapons. I can't wait to see more stuff like that. Tenzin was also totally great his bending, like the way he shot a little cushion of air to stop Korra from falling, and how he made a wheel to surf on. Very creative stuff that I had not thought of. It was everything I wanted to see.

I am still amazed by the fact that The Equalists now have an army of Big Daddies at their disposal.

That is a great movie and the animation is hilarious.

It is strange, these feels for Bolin.

It's difficult to suppress how adorable he is.

I know this already got its own episode, and that I already submitted my obligatory response comment to this episode, but it seems to me like Korra gets along more with Bolin than she does with Mako. They have more in common personality wise, and they have chemistry. Why does this love triangle even exist? Were this the real world the choice in pair-ups would be the easiest one to make.

Because she likes Mako.
Sometimes humans just don't make logical choices when it comes to who they like.

Stop throwing fire, start throwing lightning bolts. Those plat bots will go down pretty quick.

You forget yourself, sir! These things are designed to release near lethal amounts of electrical discharge. I'm fairly sure there are safety mechanisms put in them that make them less susceptible to being shocked. Also, we're assuming they don't have active anti-electric bender precautions. Although, platinum is highly conductive of both heat and electricity, so who knows...

I wanna know where the fuck he got that much platinum. Their world seems to have about the same mineral contents as ours, and it takes about 10 tons of ore to make an ounce of pure platinum. That is a lot of rock, dammit.

And also, with the whole platinum conductivity thing: While yes, it does hold onto heat very well, it is also very dense, and there's a lot of metal there. It would take a lot of energy to actually heat the suit enough to become a danger to the operator and any internal workings.

Also, I realized: All of the insides would have to be platinum and wood as well, otherwise Bei Fong could just bend remotely. She seems to know multiple styles. That means A) even more platinum (something like 1750C melting point), even in wires and gears and shit, along with any computation that would have to be done. and B) while it is perfect against earth and metalbenders, it's fucked if it gets stuck against too many high-strength firebenders. Because water and air can't erode it enough.

So, bending wise, fire would be the way to go, however: this is an age of technological advancement. Engineering and chemistry are on a rise, which would mean it would be plausible to take it out (by which I mean dissolve) with some aqua regia or hell, if he knows enough, Tenzin and Korra could bend hallogens into the air and water to corrode the shit out of it.
I'm fully aware that there is very little chance that they'll go that into the chemical aspect of it, which is why I said plausible. But I think it would still be neat for them to apply both the scientific and bending skills.

Considering how the Benders keep getting dominated by these new devices, I imagine there's going to be a turning point episode where the Benders develop anti-anti-Bender maneuvers and techniques. Maybe they can bend the electricity out of the devices, draining them. Sozin demonstrates removing heat from a volcano and Iroh could redirect lightning.
