Maybe this Saturday.

An Education

I was surprised at how invested I got in the movie. It's shot very nicely, characters are believable. I want to see Lone Scherfig make more movies.

The Hurt Locker

I watched this right after reading All Quiet On The Western Front. A lot of similar themes are addressed. Really loved how the message of "once you've experienced war it is impossible to live a normal life where your worries are not completely based around survival" was delivered through the super market scene.

Movies with similar themes or movies with similarly experimental structure?

So I saw the trailer for Scott Pilgrim, and it looks okay. The Exes are well done, Gideon looks exactly like I imagined him (a total douchewad), and the fight scenes and SFX are brilliant. The only think I don't like is Cera. He honestly sounds like he has a vagina. What possessed you to choose him for the role, Edgar?

The structure.
I don't want movies copying Memento's style, but I'd like to see filmmakers take more risks, you know.

But Gaston didn't have a kickass Villain Song.

Or a sweet hat.

Gaston's my second favorite on account he's hilarious and a well done villain.

Frolo is my first because he feels much more believable and really shows how incredibly corrupted one can be without even realizing it. I think out of Disney's villains, he's the true face of evil because he does so much harm while hiding behind his faith to excuse what he's done.
