So I listen to a really fantastic band called Black Moth Super Rainbow, and they made a kickstarter so they could produce their new album

the goal of $4,500 was made in like exactly one day.

Oh, I thought this was a thread about what musical instruments we can play. I really like Cute is What We Aim For, and Pandora (Radio) is great.

Go to Youtube. Search for Led Zeppelin. Listen to anything, anything, that comes up.

I've found like 10 bands I should check out while listening to radio these past couple weeks
All this obscure metal just keeps throwing itself at me

That is indeed pretty spot on, with digital distribution becoming so easy, there's no need for a middle man any more. Concerts will always be expensive though.

People steal music a lot these days so tickets have to make up for it

They'll probably never go down now though because people think it's normal to pay that much and are willing to do so

Pretty simple: A. concerts actually cost a fuckton of cheddar to organize and B. people are more than willing to pay that much cheddar.

The price discrepancy between the Stones and Deep Purple is probably because the former are more well known and perhaps greedier.

Hey kids! It's time for an album recommendation to anyone who likes that weird shit called music!

Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space

With some of the most beautiful songwriting I've heard in a long time as well as throwbacks to the beloved grit of classic rock, Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space is something that is abstract enough to please stoner/space rock fans while being open and accessible enough that anyone can give a listen and not feel alienated. There's slow jams, there's fast rockers, and there's a few songs accompanied by a fantastic choir that can bring tears to the eyes of even the most snobby music fan. This is something worth a definite listen in a field of grass on a sunny day with your eyes closed. Just sit back and let the music take you somewhere safe, vibrant, and breathtakingly beautiful.

Every time I listen to Pearl Jam I'm reminded of my English teacher in high school, because we studied a few Pearl Jam songs when we were studying poetry. And sometimes he would play it while we were working on something just because he liked them.

Was your English teacher Stradley?

I'd call him Mr. Stradley, but nobody ever called him that 'cause everyone was bros with him. Even the annoying kids that he didn't want to be bros with. But if you were a good student he was the most legit teacher-dude.

But I digress, I dunno maybe Pearl Jam was actually had the greatest songwriting ever or something.
