I've heard about that. My brother saw it and was visibly shaken by just how fucked up that movie turned out to be. I hate misrepresentation in trailers.

If either of you had actually read the book you'd be even more disappointed.

The girl dies at the end and You think "holy shit, the magic world probably turned out to be real and she got killed by an ogre."

No, She fell in the fucking lake.

I had also heard that. From what I understand, the movie doesn't follow the book that closely. In the book, doesn't one of the little kids die right off the bat and the other creates this world in a fit of depression? I feel like it's something along those lines. Would you mind filling me in?

Seen it. It was The Matrix before The Matrix came out. Pretty good.

My parents bought tickets for the family to go out and see alice in wonderland tomorrow. please tell me it isn't a horrible movie because I really don't want to watch it.

or at least recommend something I can beg to watch instead because I don't keep up with movies so I don't know what's good and what's bad.

Yeah, it doesn't look great. Burton's a bit hit and miss these days.

Big Fish is the only good Burton movie I've seen.

Big Fish is an incredible movie, though. You picked some really good Burton to see. It holds a spot on my top ten favorite movies of all time.

I found Forbidden Planet on DVD earlier in the week. Watching it tommorow.

Something about bad 50's sci-fi excites me.
