Before you read Passage to Dawn, you should read the Cleric Quintet. It will set up some characters who become important soon.

And when you're done with Drizzt, you should look at the War of the Spider Queen series. Six novels, nothing but Drow.

So many fantasy books that I'm wanting to read right now, and so little cheddar to buy them with.

It's been looming, but damn. I only just read Good Omens, too.

I haven't even finished any of his Discworld novels.

I've recently finished the second Stormlight Archives book, Words of Radiance, and I really believe this is Brandon Sanderson's finest work. I fully do not mind his intention of making this a 10 book series. It has a depth to it that I rarely find in other works in the genre.
I could understand people perhaps complaining about the pacing, but I didnt find myself minding it as every chapter adds at least something to the characters or backstory.

Also, bonus points for calling out the mysanthropic jerk on his complaining.

I'm re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire and I'm picking up so many hints and bits of foreshadowing that I never could have gotten the first time.

Just finished a book I picked up from the airport on the way home, called The Girl With All The Gifts. It's an interesting and pretty fresh take on the zombie apocalypse format that didn't quite grab me at the beginning but very quickly picked up. It has phenomenal worldbuilding, with a well-developed history beyond the Breakdown of society and a continually increasing menace. The main cast of five are pretty well-rounded and all their motivations are believable, although one of them (Caroline Caldwell) seemed a little flat compared to the others. Despite that gripe, I would definitely recommend it.

I've read that too, didnt care for it, the ending basically ripped off I Am Legend

Yeah, it's so weird how the show throws out some of the best conspiracies and moments, like

I got to go on a field trip today for reading a lot this year, and we all got to pick out a book from Hastings to read and then donate to the school. A friend of mine didn't want one so he let me pick for him and keep it.

I got Good Omens by Neil Gaimam/Terry Pratchett and American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Good Omens is good so far. Can't wait to start American Gods.

Good Omens and American Gods are SO GOOD. You should read Anansi Boys and Neverwhere as well.

Really, everything I've read by Neil Gaiman has been nothing short of inspiring.

Except Stardust I guess, but it was still a good story on its own.
