Anyone read Dean Koontz? Is his work worth reading?

I've got a synopsis for American Gods:

Follow a man named Shadow as he goes on a road trip with gods, robs a bank, fucks a cat, kills the leprechaun (yes, THE leprechaun), dies, and saves America (no, not THAT America).

I started reading the Sword of Truth series. I'm halfway through the first book right now. So far it's...ok. It's good enough that as long as something crappy doesn't happen with the plot, I'll finish the series. But I don't see it becoming a favorite of mine.

It gets better. I liked like last two books, even if the conflicts seem so contrived at times.

Yea, it's starting to pick up. I'm a couple chapters past where Giller dies. Or, at least I'm pretty sure he died. It was heavily implied anyway. And Kahlan just told Richard what she really is.

Sucky thing is, is the school library doesn't have the rest of the books, so I'm going to have to renew my library card and get them at the public library. Or buy them.

Just finished Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend the other day. It was cute and I liked it, even though I think the concept is a little tired. Nice sense of tension when the ball gets rolling though.

Also read John Dies at the End. 10/10 would recommend to every vertebrate on the planet

I finished Wizard's First Rule. It got a little boring about a hundred pages from the end, but the ending was really good.

Finally reading the Silmarillion

Or, as I have come to call it, "Feanor's family can't stop fucking everything up"

But he's so dreamy though. I've heard someone say he speaks Khuzdul despite never having interacted with any Dwarves. Unf~

I'm about 200 pages into Words of Radiance, the second book in the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. It's very deep and sometimes I definitely need to reflect on some of the concepts he's trying to explain, but at the same time I like how the world is slowly unfolding instead of it being dumped on me all at once, or it being shallow.

Artemis Entrerikneesweakmom'sspaghetti
Is a total dick, but fuck is he cool.

The one thing I can't deal with is, in The Halfling's Gem, why does anybody like Regis?
I mean hes a selfish fat halfling with a history of using people with his Ruby mind control.
And sure he helped save Icewind Dale, but also because he happens to live there. Whatever I'm not fond of Regis.

Wolfgar is a strait boss as well.

These books are cool man.

Regis gets serious character development later, but right now yeah he's the token party dick. Salvatore more or less rights off the whole "tries to mind control a barmaid into having sex with him" event as an early characterization mistake.

And if you like Artemis, just wait until you get to The Silent Blade and the following Sellswords trilogy.

Get ready to have mixed feelings about Wulfgar though.

Nah man I Know that Wulgar kicks the bucket and started treating catti-brie like crap but I just got to that part where Drizzt was like "Okay no, here's what would've happened if X was Y."
And Catti-Brie agreed.
He is still awesome.

And I've been breezing through these books. Half reading, half listening to audiobooks.
So I can't wait for more Entreri.

While I'm at it fuck Lolth.
