I don't have a desire to see the Minions movie but I got to catch the ending of it, and Young Gru was in there, and that's all I needed to see of it. Kinda weird though since he has a full head of hair when he's young.

Just got back from Jurassic World and...well, that was really bad. I had a fair idea since the trailers that dino-whisperer was going to be a stupid idea, wasn't disappointed. Horrible cliches, worse tag lines, animal behaviors that make no sense...heck, nothing made sense - did a small, domestic pig just pull you bodily over a waist-high fence via a long pole you could have much more easily dropped? Just ugh.

Oh yeah, and holy shit did we care a whole lot about that family situation we cared nothing about. "Hey Claire, how are the boys?" "Well, actually, I'm super swamped in work and can't get with them until tomorrow. Then we'll - " "BAAAWHAWHAW You're letting WORK get in the way of your FAMILY you DEMON!"

Y'know, HISHE sums it up pretty well this time. Obligatory spoiler alert.

Apparently the Shaun the Sheep movie is coming to America, according to a trailer currently airing. As far as I remember, it was only listed as releasing in the UK, since Shaun the Sheep is a well-established series there. I suppose they decided to release it here since Aardman Animations' other movies have done so well in America and they thought that there was enough brand recognition here.

Finished watching Gran Turino in Psych today. The ending had me crying the most I've ever done in response to a movie.

Took the family out to see Ant-Man. HIGHLY recommended. Fantastic movie.
Loved All the tie ins especially the fight with Falcon.
The jokes were great, as well as the special effects.
I really like how they kept true to his size compared to everything.

Also Wasp Suit and Winter Soldier!

LeBron James, who was already announced as being the star of the sequel last year, just signed a deal with Warner Bros. Some people thought the sequel wasn't happening anymore because of the lack of info, but now it's more likely to be happening.

I'd rather be force-fed rancid dog food
I would see the goddamn Minions movie before I saw that Adam Sandler abomination

In other words I am not particularly fond of that movie at all

The concept and potential of Pixels is incredible... but then Adam Sandler's shitty face latched onto the project and now it can no longer feel love.

I'm pretty sure the concept is "lets shove as many pop culture references as possible in another low effort Hollywood movie" so this was kind of doomed from the start.

They're making a Ready Player One movie, and I'm wondering how that will turn out. I haven't read the book, but I heard that it takes a while at the beginning making references and gets really rolling into a solid story after a few chapters. Will the studio just translate that into "Make as many references as possible throughout the movie?". Because that's exactly how I imagine it will go.
