Just saw The Imitation Game.

A+ I only cried a little bit.

"Ugh, the new Joker looks awful, Suicide Squad is going to be terrible, Jared Leto is going to be a terrible Joker, blah blah blah blah blah".

Yeah, uhh

Let's just rewind to 2008 for a minute. I distinctly remember several people saying "Ugh, the new Joker looks awful, Dark Knight is going to be terrible, Heath Ledger is going to be a terrible Joker, blah blah blah blah".

I really don't get what's so movie-ruining about one image of the Joker with tattoos and fucked up teeth.

The tattoos could have been cool if they'd have been done right but it just looks like the Joker's trying too hard.

I don't even know what I could compare him to, I can't say I really like having that image for the Joker, he usually had some class behind his insanity and this look just feels so eugh to me.

Suppose I'd have to say that it gives me a Hot Topic vibe rather than an insane villain type.

It does have a try-hard look to it. It's understandable that they would want to do something to ensure that they don't just rehash Ledger's Joker, but this deviation goes a bit too far and looks like they blended some design elements of the Victor Zsasz character into him. Joker's unhinged, wears bright clothes and has a flair for showmanship, yeah, but he's also subtle at times. This design is not subtle for the Joker. Although on the other hand, nobody knows at this point if he's going to be shirtless constantly or if he'll be wearing a suit or some other outfit for most of the movie. I'd prefer the latter, but they probably want to get as many sexy shots of Leto as possible.

Even if he's in a suit the entire movie, he's got the worst tattoo on his forehead. Leto's a decent enough actor but this looks awful from every angle. I shudder to think about what they're going to do with Harley Quinn.

someone said it might not even be his look, also I'm tired of seeing the "same thing that happened to heath" comments. Isn't there any other casting thing we could use as an example

I liked him! I liked the whole movie really. I don't even give a fuck how cheesy it was at times because it was just fun to watch.

Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn? No.

Suicide Squad's Killer Croc? No.

Suicide Squad's Deadshot? Maybe.

Not familiar with the others so can't criticize them but this is a movie I won't watch.

I'm mostly glad that Harley is dressed better than her 52 counterpart. Croc looks like a zombie
