I heard something about those just being prototypes so if that's true then hopefully the final versions are better

They probably will be better, but not by much. As for the Equestria Girls brand invading other parts of the MLP property, Meghan McCarthy has stated that the EG universe will not play any part in the FiM universe. As for the comics, Katie Cook's allowed to do her own thing with very little interference from Hasbro.

Aha. Ahaha. AAAAAHAHAHAHHAHA OH MY GOD REALLY? REALLY?! That is so dumb! So so SO dumb! Meghan, please! Wow. She really needs to stop writing the big adventure stories and stick to comedy. Between this and The Crystal Empire, it' just... wow.

If you don't wanna click that because you wanna see this movie spoiler free, just know that you're in for a treat.

Nah. It's a thing Twilight says in the trailer iirc.

So MLP #8 came out yesterday and it was nice and cute and junk. It also establishes that it's canon is different from the show's and that's neat. The next arc (2 issues) is a Big Mac one that's bound to be hilarious. Cadance and Shining Armor (also 2 issues) are after that.

Yeah. It's having a limited release though so it's not like you'll see trailers on TV or anything.
