The whole movie reeks of it being some intern's idea for "Video Games: The Movie" because "Wreck it Ralph was too serious!"

It looks like someone watched the very similar Futurama episode and thought "bet I can turn this into a movie".

Watched John Wick. Loved it.

In the Dark Knight Rises, Batman was using this weird thing that shut off electronics, and disabled some vehicles, tunnel lights, and cameras with it. The guys he was chasing with the electro-thingie were stealing his cheddar with a computer that needed to download something for six minutes. Shouldn't that computer have been shut off from the thing he had, and then the villains would've never been able to buy out his company and get that bomb?

It was made to not disrupt computers I do believe, Otherwise he loses connection to the cave.

Do you think Marvel or any of the other studios with Marvel properties will ever attempt to make an R-Rated film with the characters? The kids who went to see the first Iron Man movie back in '08 are probably old enougn now, so I'd wager that there is a market for a more mature superhero movie, or at the very least a mature show on a network like HBO. The Daredevil series on Netflix might end up taking more risks than other Marvel products, which would be a good start. Fox could up the ante and decide to make their Deadpool film R-rated and fill it with gore and black comedy.

I see Deadpool being written to be R but might be toned back to PG-13. I too would like to see some more mature Marvel stuff.

Deadpool would be a solid contender for an R rating if just because of the profanity and shit being associated with the character, but honestly there's no reason to deliberately go for an R rating. The Avengers isn't gonna benefit from people saying "fuck" a lot or a bunch of blood or whatever. Iron Man wouldn't benefit, Hulk wouldn't benefit, none of the series would GAIN anything from being actively more violent.

Ratings don't mean shit about maturity. There's no need for them to go more violent or more "adult" for the sake of an R. Especially not in character driven action movies, where it's more about characters reacting and working in moments.

They get away with a lot too, people flat out die on screen and none of the characters are against killing. The Avengers is filled with like 20 minutes of murdering people, and then another 20 minutes of killing aliens. Iron Man had a part where he singlehandedly killed an entire terrorist group. Guardians of the Galaxy had people crushed to death inside of a spaceship, or completely obliterated into dust.

These movies are already violent and exciting along with tackling the characters themselves and the issues they deal with. Going for "more mature" is a waste of everyone's fucking time, not just because that's an incredibly childish idea in the first place, but it would just boil down to more blood or more cursing or fuckin' like rape plot or whatever and that's just not a place it needs to go at all.

I heard he uses his movies to go on vacations with his friends.

Easter means watching Jesus Christ Superstar for the umpteenth time.
