The consensus on that Sith's lightsaber is that he couldn't build a stable lightsaber with what he had, so he made two vents in the sides to keep it from exploding.

Just came back from seeing Interstellar. While it wasn't completely hard science as I like it, rarely have I had such an amazing sci-fi trip. I'm still reeling from how they brought the realities (and future realities) of space flight to life.

Went to see new Hobbit flick last night. This one failed to convince me.

Was the movie bad? The material they used for this movie wasn't actually in the book. I don't know what to really expect.

I wouldn't call it bad, but it really has very little to do with Tolkien's work any more. It's pretty mediocre though, with lackluster acting in parts, strange pacing and weird oddities that were immersion-breaking for me. It also lacks creativity in it's fight choreography, something the two previous parts did do well.

I see. That's disappointing then. I was hoping for more. By the way, is your location thingy a reference?

It's a reference to Sandman by Neil Gaiman, like my avatar and signature.

I must be one of only a handful of human beings on Earth that didn't like the Madagascar series from the beginning.

We'll make a cool club and you all won't be invited so HA
