I went and saw Hercules this last Friday and it was good; the plot was straightforward, but not in the "Twelve Labors" way you'd expect. Of course there were a few twists, the kinds you would expect in an action movie like this, but I didn't have any problem with them.

Guardians of the Galaxy was a good movie. Go see it and laugh when your friends get confused as all shit by Howard The MOTHERFUCKING DUCK in the after credits scene.

really liked Guardians of the Galaxy except how Gamora didn't really do anything for a lot of the movie except get captured or look worried. The only time I ever really saw her do cool shit outside of the opening was when she fought Nebula- another supposedly badass assassin who we also didn't get to see anything else from

I agree, although I hafta say she was pretty badass in the prison break and in her intro scene. There will probably be plenty of badass stuff in the sequel that they confirmed at Comic-Con last weekend, as well as Avengers 3 hopefully.

I saw Karen Gillan's name in the opening and was wondering when she was gonna turn up the whole film

Didn't realise she was Nebula

The casting all round was really good

(For those who don't know what I'm talking about, look at the release date on the poster)

I'm a bit bothered by the fact that a cassette which was presumably under pretty heavy usage was still working perfectly after more than a quarter century. I mean, magic stone of infinite energy? sure, whatever. but MAGNETIC TAPE IS NOT A DURABLE MEDIUM. MY MOM HAS A DON MCLEAN TAPE THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S BEING PLAYED UNDERWATER

HAVE YOU EVER HEAD THE GARGLED RENDITION OF AMERICAN PIE?
BECAUSE I HAVE

I myself was wondering how he managed to keep a pair of headphones working after twenty-six years of space adventure when mine wear out in about three months of leisurely activity.

good headphones last a year
shitty headphones are eternal

they're the polar opposite of the Sam Vimes "boots" theory of economic inequality

So who's up for some legitimate Ryan Renold's Deadpool test footage:

Hopefully gonna see GotG tomorrow, too!

I liked the Deadpool test footage because it was just a small thing. I understand the test footage was created a few years ago, but if an actual movie ever winds up being made, I'm worried that Deadpool will be written to act like that throughout the entire film, because that's the Deadpool the average person has come to know through the Internet and that videogame.
