Watched Oldboy (the original). Wow, that left quite the impression.

Watched the Amazing Spider-Man 2 again at the dollar movies, and that part where he tries to save Gwen is still so, so funny.

HTTYD2 is really good but I really wish that, instead of becoming minor characters, they'd actually have like fleshed out all of Hiccup's friends and Astrid.

other than that really it was pretty good

I'm just mad that they were all such idiots.

Like, yeah Astrid kinda did the same thing Hiccup was trying to do by finding Drago, but after getting double-crossed she still decided to open up her mouth and intimidate a dude that has a dragon army outfitted with weapons and giant dragons into NOT attacking Berk by telling them that if they attacked they'd get crushed themselves. When their gear is all mostly metal and leather and they're a bunch of teenagers captured so easily after coming in willingly with a hostage!

It's just like, goddamn, how do you fuck up that badly? Even if you were there on Hiccup's behalf, you were trying to work out a peace deal and teach him not to control dragons with fear but to bond with them. Instead, you use fear to try to intimidate him and made him go out to target Hiccup and his dad for being his main threats to world conquest that he didn't even know about before.

I've been looking for a movie I saw years ago and I finally found it.

No wonder I had trouble finding it, the name is fucking retarded.

I'm gonna rent Snowpiercer. Read/heard good things about it, now it's time to see they're true.

I saw it in the theater. It was interesting at least. But pretty daisies dumb at times too. If you can suspend your disbelief you're probably going to have a good time and some scenes are genuinely good.

Behold, the Bluray/VHS release of Dredd.

I had to check to make sure I didn't get a bad copy but no, this is how it looks at a hefty 15k bitrate.

Redline is, artistically, everything an animated movie should aspire to be. It's a work of love that you can enjoy on a lot of levels.

I loved it but what the hell was going on ever in that movie? I don't mean that in a bad way, the movie was hilarious.

Only real problem I had with HTTYD2, besides it being fairly "meh" in general, was how Drago got to Berk to begin with. If my ears didn't deceive me Astrid said "It's okay, he doesn't have the map to Berk" or somesuch during the intimidation faceoff scene. My roommate hated me because I brought it up.

The music was fairly disappointing as well. "Romantic Flight" still brings up feels from the first movie, and they kinda threw it in at random intervals in the second. Hash and rehash, nothing to hear here.

Saw Rise of The Planet of The Apes. I liked it quite a bit, even though it sometimes played fast and loose with my suspension of disbelief and it was a touch melodramatic. These prequels are quite finely crafted and not the cashgrab some have made them out to be.
