I know some people who know some people actually in the academy, and they do that, yes.

And? It's not like it's hard to get a copy of a newly released movie in this day and age.

No yeah that's what I'm saying. Like not only do they get copies from the academy to watch the films but it's easy to get it anyway.

I am honestly pretty sure that's a faked thing, though, it's screamed fake for me ever since the first time I saw it

Had a movie night at a friend's where we watched Metallica - Through the Never. It was very different from anything I had seen up to that point. Basically, it was an extremely flashy Metallica concert (which sounded great through the 5.1 audio setup - now I kinda want one) intertwined with a separate story that got more surreal as the movie went on. The concert part felt like real concert footage (which it was) but it had been designed with the movie and story in mind and at the end it got really crazy when the two parts of the film crashed head on.

Also, it was the first 3D film I've seen except that the effect was so subtle that I wasn't even sure if it was there. I'm not sure if that's good or bad?

Anyway, I'd recommend anyone who likes Metallica to check out the film, it really is something different.

Now I'm gonna see if there's a making of of the film or something similar because I wanna know how they pulled some of it off.

It would be a lot of effort to write an entire article like this just to pass if off as fake.

I just rewatched District 9 and remain ever more convinced that it is in need of a sequel.

So, the other day on Netflix, I re-watched that animated musical all those fanatics won't shut up about. You know, the one with the two siblings in a royal family who grow distant from each other after a certain horrible incident, only to face a cursed supernatural weather plaguing the country when one of them reveals supernatural powers in front of the whole kingdom, and it's still pretty good. I'm really not all that surprised it won the Oscar for "Best Original Song". One of my favorite scenes in it is where the two of them are singing a duet with the younger sibling trying to convince the older sibling to put an end to the cursed weather, but the older sibling refuses. The climax of the movie with that big on-foot chase scene across that body of water is pretty intense though, so in the end I'd say that has to be my favorite scene. That song that the workers sing in the beginning is pretty catchy too.

moses doesn't have supernatural powers, that's the entire point of the movie

come on you could at least get it right, put the bare minimum of effort in
