So uh.
This morning, Sloth and I watched The Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit (as per Zang's hilarious recommendation). It was, uh, the scenery was nice. Everything else was so absurdly awful that we barely stayed upright from laughing so hard.

Then this evening, after watching the Cowboy Bebop movie, I saw a link for the Fist of the North Star movie.

We got approximately halfway through before Sloth cried out in agony "NO MORE. I CANNOT BREATHE. I AM ABOUT TO EXPLODE LIKE ALL OF THE PUNCHY MAN KEN'S VICTIMS."
I, however have many questions:
Why
why
why
why
why
why
why
why
who are this new race of semi-humans that can only be referred to as "punchies"?
Why are they so tall, and continue to get taller? You'd think that in a barren nuclear wasteland, there would not be enough nutrition to support the growth of such a large figure.
why
what is the REAL story behind the Pastel Rainbow Mohawk Brigade?
Where can I get a manicure like Rei's, that lets me cut people down with magic neon cat claws?
why
Did someone seriously take this show seriously?!
Why
why
why
why
why
why

WHY?
?

also holy fuck yeah thanks for ending a movie on two cliffhangers

You knew Loki was alive, don't even. He's done this twice now.

of course he was alive the movie bodaciously spelled that out
i don't see what that has to do with the fact that it ended on two cliffhangers

i don't know how you thought there was confusion on that fact and how it alone was a cliffhanger when that's not even a qualification

By the 2 cliffhangers, I can only assume you're referring to both the part where Loki tricks Thor into thinking he's his father, and the bit with the collector. The thing is the former isn't really a cliffhanger. "Oh no, Loki's taken the throne in the allfather's place!" Well yeah, that's obvious. It would have been a much bigger cliffhanger had they omitted the part where he's obviously disguised as a soldier, and tricks the allfather into thinking he's dead. True, it asks questions like "Where's the allfather" and "Why's Loki on the throne." but honestly that wasn't much of a shocking cliffhanger at all. Loki was already established to be alive when previously thought dead (to those paying attention) and going for the throne was his plan. Him being there is less shocking than the "not dead" bit.

That's just me, though, I could only assume you were referring to the "he's not dead" bit.

As for the "Loki's on the throne is a cliffhanger for another movie" bit...well yeah. Loki simply being alive at the end of a movie is a cliffhanger for another movie...

A cliffhanger is when a new element to the plot is introduced at the very end and not resolved.

Loki being on the throne is bodaciously a cliffhanger. A very big one too, considering in the previous movies he's shown a very large flair for the dramatic. Going against that and just taking over silently is against his modus operandi, so yeah it was shocking that he took over even.

And then the second one was with The Collector, because that's going to be resolved with Guardians of the Galaxy.

just finished the first Hunger Games movie. Prettty good despite some weird choices here and there. I found Redlettermedia saying there wasn't enough child murder quite off. Jegus, some of that was intense.

Seems ehh.

Not as bad as people are making out, but definitely generic CGI animated action movie.
