I would like to buy those comics, but I'm afraid of the looks I'd get at my comic shop since I'm a regular.

Fuck them. These comics are so good and enjoyable. Also, is the 4th issue out?

*comes back from forever ago* I don't like the last episode because it seemed rushed and it was the first finale to only last 30 minutes, and I would of prefered it if they made it another 2 weeker if it would have been an hour. *goes back to never visiting the forums for a year*

Season 1's finale, The Best Night Ever, was a single episode. AND it had a song better than most of the songs in Magical Mystery Cure. Okay, well, technically Return to harmony was supposed to be the finale for season 1 with Lesson Zero being the premiere for season 2. But whatever.

Anyway, from a recent writer's panel, everyone on the show wanted the finale to be a two-parter, but they couldn't get it. Also, the episode originally had Twilight singing about her new wings to the tune of the show's theme. Yes, it could have been worse. It could have bodaciously been a toy commercial.

Man, I've been getting 'Sonic the Hedgehog' at my comic shop for years and years now - I'm pretty much over getting embarrassed about buying comics that aren't in my 'target demographic'.

I felt a little awkward about asking for MLP:FiM to be added to my standing order, but considering advertisements for the MLP:FiM comics were pasted all over the back of the IDW Transformers comics it wasn't really that much of a quantum leap.

If you look at my regular comics; Sonic the Hedgehog + Sonic Universe, Mega Man, Transformers, MLP:FiM, etc. it's an easy guess that I'm a child of the 1980's.

I don't think the 4th is out yet - but IDW have added some side-stories to their main run of MLP:FiM comics - the 'Twilight Sparkle' side story was in my standing order bag this week but I don't really rate the writing or art as much as the main story - it's a bit of an amateur effort, honestly.

I guess they're going to do a focus side-story for each of the main ponies - Rainbow Dash is next I think - probably a different writer and artist than the Twilight Sparkle one so I'm hoping for a better effort.

Oh, it came out on the 6th. I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, but I've heard good things. As for the micro-series, yeah. I did not enjoy it. The art was, well, not painfully bad but still pretty bad, and the story was honestly something the writers of the show would come up with... And it would be one of the lackluster episodes no one talks about or really remembers.

They are fantastic. If you like the show, you'll love these. One of my favorite parts about them so far is that they actually give Chrysalis more character. She definitely had potential and I'm glad it didn't go to waste. Not to mention the writing is hilarious and stays consistent with the show, and the art is great as well. If you missed any, you can find them all on comixology and itunes.

My favorite bit is the fact that the fact they're able to give them some crazy expressions, I love it.
