Clara is every other female Moffat character with the added twist that she's also a companion.
The Doctor continues to have almost no visible depth when being penned by Moffat

What is there to say, nothing is happening with Clara. We know she's the next companion, just put her in the fucking TARDIS already.

I really like the third, fourth, and fifth Doctors, less on the fifth because he's slow to start, but neat nonetheless.

Third Doctor has always been one of my favorites. He's definitely one of the best. Also he has a tattoo (Jon Pertwee got a tattoo while serving in the Royal Navy), so that's cool.

EDIT:

Some more news on the 50th special:
Quote:
Recently, the BBC has denied tabloid reports that Christopher Eccleston has 'pulled out' of the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode, stating his decision to not start in it "has not impacted on the shows 50th Anniversary"

The BBC's official statement to Digital Spy stated:

"Chris met with Steven Moffat a couple of times to talk about Steven's plans for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode. After careful thought, Chris decided not to be in the episode. He wishes the team all the best."

This doesn't mean he won't appear, it just means he won't be acting in it, I believe.

In the Five Doctors special, Tom Baker turned down the offer to return to the show, so they just used special effects, clever writing, and old footage.

Here's a good quote from David Tennant:
"I've been to many planets in the solar system, and you'd be surprised how many of them look like quarries in Wales."

I'm disappointed that Eccleston won't be acting for the 50th anniversary special, but to be honest maybe it's better that way. He did talk to Moffat before turning down the offer. Maybe he didn't like what Moffat had planned for him.

That would not surprise me one bit.

the fact that all the doctor's shit wasn't enough but "baww my mum is dead" did the trick was so ham fisted

what about the future of all the people he knew that died?

I interpreted it as "he didn't think of that at the time so the thing didn't eat it".

My interpretation of the lead is that it is an event. Everyone else's offerings were souvenirs and things to commemorate things. Meanwhile, the leaf caused something to happen; without it who knows what lives her parents would have had. Without that leaf, anything else could have happened. Without anyone else's offerings, the same thing would've happened, just without that trinket.

That's my view, at least.
