Why couldn't we get Catherine Tate instead of Piper? I'd love to see Donna Noble make snide comments about bowties.

But can they bring Donna back, at the end of Series 4 didn't the Doctor wipe her mind so her brain doesn't fry?

And don't forget the Tenth Doctor technically doesn't exist anymore.

If you've seen any of the multi-Doctor episodes, it's easily explained. Usually the Doctor will land the TARDIS somewhere, and then the Doctor at an earlier or later point in his life will also land there, shenanigans happens and they meet and someone will be like "hang on how come I'm not with older you WHAT'S THE DEAL" and whatever.

The 20th anniversary special, The Five Doctors, is really good and everyone should have to see it. (they all get kidnapped together instead of landing in the same place at the same time).

EDIT: OKAY THAT EPISODE WAS GOOD
The 'monsters' were kinda shitty, but what happens to the antagonist lady made tear up a bit.

I don't like the concept of Doctors meeting. It just doesn't appeal to me. If you want to feature previous Doctors, I'd rather they be working towards the same goal at different points in time and space, without realising it. Sort of like the way the Pandorica Opens started out in all those different places with various characters playing small parts. Jamming them all together just creates an ego-fest. Though of course with Tennant on board we're doomed to that anyway.

Makes sense. Giving them individual objectives like that would allow for more consistent writing and less worrying about things like "How would this Doctor react to this Doctor's decisions?" and "How many references and allusions can we have the Doctors make in their conversations/arguments while trying to save the day?"

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the character, not the actor.

Spoilers for the 50th!

50th Anniversary Special is currently being shot, so there are many photos going around that people have taken (from afar) during filming, and eye-witness reports of the goings-on.

Quote:
First report comes from @cazj911 at Ivy Tower in Neath, who tweeted out: "Just seen the TARDIS and set for #DoctorWho #50thAnniversary in Ivy Tower, Neath!!!! #DoctorWho50th #DoctorWhoLeaks"

Could just be lighting, but the shade of blue looks more like 10's TARDIS than 11's.

Quote:
He followed the picture up with the tweet: "David Tennant was here, in some kind of medieval set with a St George flag! WHAT DOES IT MEAN!! Can't wait to see it #DoctorWhoLeaks"

Pic of the set.

Considering how tight the BBC have been about leaks pertaining to the 50th special, they posted a picture on Twitter of a monster from the episode. As I said, BBC has been tight, so it's PROBABLY a minor monster.

SPOILERS CLICKY SPOILER:
https://twitter.com/bbcdoctorwho/status ... 24/photo/1

It's a Zygon! A monster from 1975. 'Ere's some more info on them.

It's just as well they've finally revealed something from the past. It was looking distinctly more like a 5th anniversary than a 50th.

I know there are people who think the sun shines out of David Tennant but he hardly represents 46 years, does he?

Time Crash was a pretty good mini-thing.

Eleven is funny and derpy and that's a good thing.
Clara is a cutie.

Eleven has been around for like three years. Everything interesting has already been said.
Except for this, maybe: The "fall of the Eleventh" that the blue headed guy was talking about has already been revealed to be disappointing, since Matt Smith has been confirmed as the Doctor in 2014.

Clara has been around for ages too sort of and is kind of adorable.
