So Monsters U is actually preeetttty good.

I am glad it was good, because had it been bad I may have had to go and kill myself.

we just recently watched it and yeah...it was ok like it wasn't BAD but just

WHY WAS IT SO AWKWARD

WHY DID THE SCENES JUST DRAG ON

when it got up and went it went GREAT but then it just crashed down into staring at one another for 5 minutes longer than we needed to

That's everyone's biggest problem with the movie but it feels perfect to me, never out of place. The whole point is that the Driver is a good guy but he just isn't quite right and the dialog reflects that really well.

It is honestly one of my favorite films.

ANYWAY PACIFIC RIM TONIGHT AT 10:30 WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

yeah like i got that part but i really think it could have just as effectively been conveyed without super long scenes of him and the girl just STARING AT ONE ANOTHER. we didn't need any more than like 30 seconds of that to get that he was a little off. three minutes of a still shot was like "does anyone want chips or a bathroom break we'll still be on this shot when you get back"

idk i loved the action parts so much and i am usually 100% down with silent protags but there was too much nothing to really keep it going imo :[

we're gonna have a PR party this weekend too i'm so hype

can't wait for big shiny evas in my cinema

I hated World War Z because it was basically "Brad Pitt is the chosen smart one and everyone else is an idiot". If you want to see a movie that is completely self aware about zombies, go watch Shaun of The Dead.

So Pacific Rim was really good, there honestly was not a single thing I disliked about it. It was well done and clever and the characters were interesting and well developed.

I don't care who you are, you need to see it.

It's great. Really brutal at times though, like seriously.
But it's good, really good.
Best movie I've seen all year.

Did either of you guys see it in 3d? Because my theater has all of 2 regular showings, and I don't think any of them are going to work for me.

Also, just got back from Despicable Me 2. I. . . I wasn't really impressed. I'll elaborate a bit later when I've got my thoughts together.

From what I've heard, this is one of the few movies where 3D actually works to the film's benefit, but it's amazing in any format.

And if you're lucky, you might get some of the sickest posters in existence.

Finally sat down and watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films.

Watched part 1 yesterday, part 2 today.

I should've expected the disappointment I'd get from the changes they made in comparison to the books.

Especially at the end of Part 2 where he just snaps the elder wand. I found it a much more fitting ending when he used it to repair his wand and buried it with Dumbledore.
