I got to watching Wreck-It Ralph.

I'll give these guys credit, they did some daisies good research, I loved the Cameos because they didn't look butchered, the little details they put in impressed me, and I liked how the story picked up well half-way into the movie.

I'm also thanking the fuck out of them for getting Sonic's voice actor, I simply can't imagine Sonic without his current voice.

Just got back from Star Trek: They Made Khan White!

I only have one major gripe with the film.

Care to guess what it is?

They used a pseudonym for like half the film, but pretty much all the coverage of the movie spoiled any sort of surprise in that department.

The fact that they cast Brickleberry Captaincrunch made the whole thing worse because he has skin and muscles that don’t seem to connect to any of his bones on his face.

Watching him was a terrifying sight to behold.

Nice job spoiling the movie for everyone asshole i kid please don't kill me

I saw it yesterday and counted 77 lens flares before giving up (this was 30 minutes into the movie btw). Good movie all in all, I liked it better than the first one.

J. J. Abrahms: Best director or best director (Super 8? ohhhh yesssss)

I'm not surprised, but yeah spoiler tags for a movie that's been out for less than a fucking week should be obvious.

It's the Great Gatsby, so no it isn't. Not unless they severely altered the story at least.

I liked The Great Gatsby.

The characters were... something... and believable.

Whether the movie does a good job or not, I'm not sure.

Wow OA thanks for those no spoiler tags
I didn't realize how much of a plot twist it'd be.

If we're talking Great Gatsby the movie, they made some really weird choices in presenting the material and end up forcing Fitzgerald's prose in, instead of letting the story tell itself. Which is a shame, the movie itself looked like it would have been okay if it wasn't an audiobook half the time.

There's also really quick and inconsistent editing, if that bugs you. The acting's actually pretty good, and the overblown production design would work a lot better if they'd just let the movie breathe (again, editing problems).

I liked the book but the movie just made me mad.
