This thread is bad and you should feel bad.
I don't know if you've had discussions with people before about things, but typically, they involve the exchanging of specific information, views, and opinions. Discussions with people are good because different people are likely to posess different information, views, and opinions than you do, and obtaining that new information, view, or opinion can often be interesting - maybe even changing your own views and opinions! This is called social interaction, and when people interact socially, the more fleshed out the information, view, or opinion that they are sharing, the more interesting it becomes! This is why people do not often have very interesting discussions when they share their information, views, or opinions like a robot with one line of dialogue; "I ENJOYED READING THIS BOOK." When people supply the reasoning behind said information, view, or opinion - "I enjoyed reading this book because it reminded me of my scandinavian boyhood roaming through the corn fields" - we learn not only a lot more about the book in question, but also the person. It injects humanity into a discussion, and makes the entire process that more rewarding.
