Hey everyone, Masterzombie here...
I just wanted to drop in and show off a project that I just recently finished...It's been a very long time coming...over 2 years in fact...but it’s finally done.
PAPERCUT 2 by Studio Sandman
“PAPERCUT 2”
Approx. 135 mins
UNRATED
Tagline...“NO MOAR GAMES”
PAPERCUT 2 is an original story following two young lovers while paying homage to and parodying pop culture, video games, and 80's movies. Made by fans, for fans!
Shooting weekend to weekend and paycheck to paycheck, I shot this film over the course of 2 years. I did everything on this project, I made all the props, costumes, did all the location scouting, set construction, editing, directing, SFX, sound editing…I pretty much did everything there was to do on this movie.
I’ve worked with over 100+ cast and crew from around the country and have worked with several local and national Hollywood talent. Cast and crew who have worked on: Ghostbusters, Transformers 3, Inspectres, Matt Forbecks Brave New World, Traffic, Super Mario Bros, Evil Dead, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gearbox Software’s Duke Nukem, Captain America, Thor, Overtime, The Tomb, Fire From Below, Camel Spiders, America's Next Top Model, and more…all worked on my movie.
Despite being virtually broke throughout the 2 year production shoot, I was able to shoot a 2 hour long feature film completely out of pocket. I ended up buying 5 vehicles for this movie after all was said and done...two of them having complete restorations...
Lots of blood, sweat and tears went into making Papercut 2 and it shows on the final product.
I hope everyone here likes what they see and looks forward to the movie’s premiere. Please let me know what you think about it…the movie, trailer, plot points, casting, SFX…etc.
I’d love to hear any and all feedback on this movie project.
I hope that everyone is as excited for the movie as I am, it’s really gonna be awesome.

Change of plans, thread will be unlocked!
Masterzombie messaged me apologizing and explained a few things, and since he actually stayed to communicate with me rather than making a one-post account, I'm unlocking this thread for him to update and create discussion. I also disliked the wording of our advertisement rule, so that has been changed after discussing it with the other proletariats.

Thanks [Insert Fail], I would be glad to update and share new info about my movie.
First of all, I just want to say sorry to the board for any initial confusion my post had made. I'm not a SCP, I have a soul...haha. I'm a huge reader and follower of the Awkward Zombie strips. I remember the very first strips when they came out, I've been a longtime reader.
Fast forward many years, and I'm now working on a Feature Film video project. I'm paying homage to 80's movies, video games, and pop culture. There are also several scenes in my movie which parody web comics as well...
Any of these web comic guys look familar? Haha...
So after shooting those scenes, I still had a few holes in the script in which I needed filled with various roles. So I contacted Katie early on for some VO relating to the film. We shared emails and I sent a script...but we never got to record any lines. So I eventually got Jon St. John (the VO actor for Duke Nukem) to fill in the missing VO spots for me. A win/win for everyone! Haha.
There are many other homages and cameos featured within this epic film and if you look real close you can spot them.
I'll be sure to post in the right forum next time and clear any questions with the proletariats first before posting. I hope everyone likes what they see and looks forward to the release of the movie.
And with that said, here is a new interview video with another actress from the movie! Kayla Gill!
Kayla Gill has appeared in many short and feature films, her last movie was "CAMEL SPIDERS". We both have worked with the SyFy channel on various projects over the years. It was a real pleasure to work with her.
It's premiering at my old high school. Back to where I first got the idea to make movies, after working in my media production class as a senior
I've come full circle...
Here are some snapshots of events and promotions that I have done recently for the movie.
I had a small public screening at a film school in Kentucky for the movie. About 20 film and art students showed up to watch the film.
Here is a local video game store promoting the movie. Displaying the figures, comic books, and movie posters for the film.
I was on a local radio station and did an interview about the movie. The DJ himself plays a villain in the movie.
I recently did two interviews for 2 papers...one the local paper and another one for a video game magazine.
But the most recent and coolest update yet...is the release of my short film PAPERCUT 2: CHUCK's NEW JOB
"Chuck's New Job" was shot in 3 days and took about a month to edit. The music was finished in a few weeks and features some prominent members of GB community. Jesse Sosa and Ian McIantosh, who worked on the GB video game for XBOX and PS3, also appear in the PAPERCUT 2 COMIC BOOK. These guys, who were 3D animators/modelers for the GB game, also put a reference to a fan film I did a few years ago...into the actual GB game itself.
If you have played the game, go to the second story of the firehouse and go to Egon's workstation. On a shelf there is a PANK paper hanging up with a child's drawing of Egon Spengler by a "ED SPENGLER". This was an easter egg for a movie I did called, "Return of the Ghostbusters". This easter egg was further expanded upon in the official strategy guide for the game...as Uncle Egon was referenced again in one of tips sections.
So this short film is laced with lots of GB lore and history that most probably don't know about...but will eventually make it to the director's commentary.
"Chuck's New Job" just gives you a small sample of what to expect if you watch the full PAPERCUT 2 movie.
If you are in central Kentucky next week I highly encourage you to come out and see the film. I'm just a local director who shot this movie entirely out of pocket and over the course of 2 years. Lots of love and care was put into the script and if anyone can come out and see it, you won't be disappointed.
