AWKWARD ZOMBIE

So I picked up Mario Maker and it's pretty cool, I'm excited to see what the game has to offer. Anyone else pick it up? What stages have you made so far?

I made the basic obligatory tutorial course, and an underground level inspired off of SMW's level design called Classy Caverns

I spent like half an hour with the game, made the basic course, beat the 10 Mario Challenge (I loved that Toad freaked out that Bowser came to save the Princess), and spent the rest of the time just tapping all of my Amiibo to unlock the different mystery mushroom outfits, before falling asleep because 2 hour nap last night.

I like it so far, though it did give me the message that the second set of items would arrive tomorrow. Did I not receive the patch that makes them all unlock in a single day? It's been updated.

EDIT: Figured it out. After 5 minutes it unlocks the next batch of stuff to come out the next day, but if you keep placing a lot of blocks, it'll say "well, looks like the shipment came in early!"

So I was just making a Mario course and then something incredible happened.

Not my footage but I had no idea this was in the game and it made me smile like a big doofus.

I scanned my like 20 amiibos into this game and played around for half an hour. It doesn't do much which disappointed me a little. But it's not like I expected 100 amiibo skins that have different powers. I just thought Kirby would act like Kirby, Link like Link, that kind of thing. You know, for the bigger names.

Yeah, all the outfits really do is allow you to make themed levels and break blocks like Super Mario. I'm having a lot of fun beating the 10 and 100 Mario Challenges though as I get used to building stages.

I should get mine in the mail today. Can't wait to play it.

Hey, would you guys happen to know if a certain rumor I heard is true about this game?

I just heard Nintendo was throwing out copyright strikes for people doing footage of this game. Not video claiming, like everyone does, but actual copyright strikes :/ Any truth to it?
