wondered if anyone else plays this, its pretty entertaining and stressful (in a good way) when you start out. and its absolutely hilarious if you can take other players as slaves because they simply dont want to die

hackers are pretty prominent but generally you can work around them

this was done on the BRH server

Seems like Dayz is turning into a stand alone game.

I've always wanted to try it because it sounded like my dream zombie game, but since it's going to be a stand alone with a team behind it, I'll wait for that to start.

It'll also follow the Minecraft model, where they'll release the alpha for cheap and keep upgrading it till release.

I spend several hours one day trying to get Day Z to work with absolutely no success, so hearing that a standalone version is coming in the future is quite a relief for me.

hop on anytime, we do get very full anywhere from 4-11 pm, it generally starts about 10 ppl then just suddenly bam 50 in-game

I've been playing Day Z for a few weeks now. It's a really great and entertaining mod, but I'm putting it aside for awhile so that it can get patched a little more.

My most memorable experience:

I was running away from the North-West Airfield after having plundered it of some great weapons. When I reach the closest town to the west, I find a tractor. It's not in mint condition, but it was enough to get it running to full speed. A few minutes later I accidentaly run into a tree with the tractor at about 2 km/h and it explodes. Couldn't stop laughing.

Hey a thread about this game, well I wanna try and get a group together so that I don't walk into a group of 3 people and know I have no chance.

Just got it a few days ago and loving it.

Here's a DayZ short movie that I made with some friends:

Now, it's no masterpiece, but it was fun to make!
I was trying to capture that backstabbing moment that often occurs in the game.

It's kind of slow paced, but enjoy it!
