AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Alright since it's getting closer to the release of Torchlight II, I thought it was appropriate to make a thread about the games. Personally I'm excited because I liked the original much better than I liked Diablo 2 when I played it, so now I'm kind of biased towards it. And now I can play the game with all my buddies who also play because they added multiplayer. I have high hopes for Runic Software (company who made Torchlight) because from what they say, they added features in TLII based on player input. And listening to your fans is always a good idea or else you'll lose 'em. Unless you're Blizzard WHOOPS DID I JUST SAY THAT OUT LOUD


*ahem* Anyway, to get discussion rolling, what feature or implementation are you anticipating the most from this game?

I honestly prefer Torchlight to D3 (never played D1 or 2) and it's the first game of the kind I've really played. I've only beaten it once on my vanquisher? (the girl) but I've ran quite a few levels in the post game dungeon

I started with the gunslinger class because I love gunslingers, but I gave the Alchemist a spin and WHOA HOLY SHIT TANK MAGE IT'S ALL I'VE EVER WANTED IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT

Alchemist is God Tier.

went AFK as an Alchemist once and returned to find my summons had killed the level's boss

But aside from my first Alchemist play through I never had a huge love for the game, it really falls off in entertainment value after your first run. Only thing that makes me hop on from time to time is a desire to make top-tier ember gems.

I prepurchased this back in like, march, glad to see it's finally being released.

I don't remember when I prepurchased it, but it was a while ago. The pre-download is available, by the way, so let's all start a party the moment it releases

Those of you who've pre-ordered T2 should pre-load while you can! I am doing so now. Super stoked for this.

I should really check the console before I get excited about a game, If only i had a good laptop.

I can't wait for Torchlight II. I've had the game for months. I ended up getting it for a beta of CS:GO and a promo hat in TF2. Now I have it all preloaded and waiting to bro-op with a friend. I haven't played THAT much of the first game I've only played Alchemist, I couldn't really get into the other classes.

Also played the beta of TII with someone and enjoyed the fuck out of that so I'm hyped.

I'll be streaming a co-op game on Friday with a friend; if anyone wants to join lemme know, but I think you can only have 4 (6?) people in one co-op game.

I hope the Alchemist's EFFING MAGIC LASERS stay in some way. Or are replaced by something more awesome, though I'm kind of at a loss for ideas. Literal magic missiles?

It's not an alchemist anymore, sadly. They've changed the class names and their appearance.

The big bruiser guy (dunno his name) got split into the Berserker and the Engineer. Berserker is more of a PUNCH EVERY THING fist weapons guy, and the Engineer is more TAKE ALL THE DAMAGE HAHA YOU CALL THAT AN ATTACK tank guy. The sharpshooter stayed the same more or less, but now is called Outlander. The Alchemist underwent the most radical change of the classes, cause now instead of a tech-wizard looking guy it's now just Embermage and your regular mage type character. It still looks interesting though, got my fingers crossed.
