Okay, so there's this awesome game on Kickstarter.

It's basically about robots at war, and in the end you crush an asteroid in the planet. I can't wait for it.

Uber Entertainment already has all of the cheddar they need for it. I'm not buying it. After their bad decisions with Super Monday Night Combat, I am not buying anything from Uber (not that I've ever bought anything from them in the first place)

Don't wanna start an argument or derail the thread but I'm interested to hear why you don't like SMNC.

I actually DO like SMNC. Their bad decisions as of late have ruined it, however. These include releasing a plethora of cosmetic items for the game instead of working on new free content that a several-month-old game needs (The game was released in April), and creating a survival mode called Blitz instead of adding new content to the competitive game modes. Blitz Mode also means that there will always be people farming for in-game currency so they don't have to pay real cheddar to unlock Pros (The game's version of heroes/champions). The game's playerbase was already shrinking when Blitz mode was released; this just makes it more difficult for people who want to play Super Crossfire or Turbo Crossfire (The main game types) to find matches. On top of that, they used Blitz as an excuse to release EVEN MORE cosmetic items.

They have never released a mandatory tutorial to get new players acclimated to the game, either. Super MNC is a Shooter/MOBA hybrid. Players are going to get real confused real fast if they don't know what they're doing, as the game is fairly complex. This results in confused players not knowing what to do, getting stomped by the other team, and quitting. So instead of creating a tutorial to ease new players into the game and aiding in player retention, Uber decides to make more cosmetic items and Blitz Mode.

Last week they decided to release cosmetic items for people who donated 90 dollars or more to the Planetary Annihilation. Within 5 months they've flooded the game with cosmetic items, their playerbase went from around 1000-1200 players online to a dismal point in which you can only find 400 players online during the weekend (Note that these aren't all the same people online, but you can still see the problem). And Uber Entertainment believes that when this game needs some work and promotion the most, their decision was to beg for cheddar for a brand new game and give people a shiny badge in Super Monday Night Combat for giving them said cheddar. The Uber Entertainment Team says that they're working on an engine update for SMNC that would help bring in new players, but the damage has already been done.
