AWKWARD ZOMBIE

So, some people have expressed interest in this MMO I play, called - you guessed it - Wonderland Online.
Wonderland Online (WLO for short) is a Korean MMORPG (thankfully, translated into Engrish with American and European servers for, well, USA users and UN/EU users). It has an extensive, complex item creation system, with a blossoming and booming user-based economy on most servers. It can be a grindfest if you don't have a good group backing you (and I doubt most of you want to shell out cash to buy gamebreaker items!) but if you do have a group of 4 or more you can count on being up for some fun and games, it becomes a lot of fun (like most MMOs, it stresses user friendship and co-operation). Not to mention, there are tricks and ways to get yourself soaring through levels. Essentially, if you or a friend of yours knows what you/they're doing, level grinding becomes much less of a problem.

It's also a very pretty, colorful and visually pleasing game, with isopixel PCs and painted backgrounds.

Along with that, it is also completely free to play. Don't be afraid to ask me to walk you through the basics. In fact, I may very well post a sort of mini-let's play to get you guys familiar with everything!

I swear people are running that book into the ground.

Oh, I don't think WLO actually has anything to do with the original Lewis Carol (or however her name was spelled) book. The people who designed the game just thought it sounded cool.

Unless the game is secretly an acid trip, which may be the case?

Well considering that Wonderland is a dream conjured by a little girl in the May-sunshine, that might not be too far off the mark.

Besides, I hear Wonderlnads a pretty sinister place if you go looking about int he wrong corners....

A guild for AZ members (Not on Aires, since that server group is too full)

Reasonable enough.

Now, when you open WLO, the first thing you have to do is pick a server! I am only familiar with Aries and Pisces, though. Here's a quick rundown of them.
All of Pisces- A quiet place, good for roleplaying. Might make a good screenshot/let's play server, but I already have a character there and I want a fresh start for this guide.
A1- Advertising server. Always incredibly busy, as people are trying to make cheddar on an overpopulated server.
A2- Most guilds are formed there and then move into different servers as needed.
A3- One of the calmer servers. Good for item-crafting and traditional (remote) leveling.
A4- I seem to recall that everyone there is obsessed with decorating their tents.
A5- Bursting server. Bursting is a common rapid-leveling technique.
A6- Most quiet Aries server. One of my favorites.
A7- Mostly the 'elite' Aries users- the guys who shell out lots of cheddar, or the 'whales' as they're called in the business and their followers.

But none of that matters, since I am going to be using...

Taurus is quieter than Aries but has a full economy, so I've heard.
Now, enough with the server exposition! Now, we're going to create a character.

Okay everyone, who do I play as?

Play as the Prismriver Sis- I mean the one with the violin 8===D Music is fun to kill people with. I heard a wizard once sang a guys coach wheels off and buried him in rock.

Then undid it by singing backwards. Norse mythology is wieeeeerd.

As soon as I install this game I'm being the nurse though. I feel medical.

Oh, so she's a classy violinist. Then again, violinists only come in classy and stuck-up. If they are neither, they are fiddlers.




Okay, now for the element. Really, the elements go like this.

Earth > Water > Fire > Wind > Earth

Earth is good for defense, water is good for mages, Fire is good for fighters and Wind is good for rogues. However, those are just guidelines. You can have whatever stats, element and skills you want.

So. What element? And hurry, the theme tune is starting to grate on my nerves!

I get that way about the MapleStory theme song too.
