How could you hope for him to be allied with the British?

I hoped he would take a neutral role like the Assassins in the first game.

I guess we have to reaffirm Americans are good guys and the British were evil.

Well he kinda has to take a side since George Washington owns a piece of Eden.

As for the neutrality thing, it has also been said that templars are everywhere (meaning American and British), and that the war between the Americans and the British are secondary to Assassins vs Templars.

To be fair they really were. British rule over the Americas was not the best ever. They were pretty good to Britain, but not so much to ANY of their colonies anywhere really.

I think so, yeah. But what's more importnt is winning te war to get on Washington's good side and nabbing the Piece of Eden that he and the founding fathers use. I hope that Benjamin Franklin is an Assassin.

Also, it makes sense that it takes place in the colonies plot-wise, as well. At the end of Revelations, it was shown that there was important stuff in the colonies, specifically in New York.

Washington, Franklin etc are Freemasons, who are Templars. However, Washington needs you as much as he is your enemy and Conner needs him just as much as he's his enemy. Conner is under the opinion that it would be in his best interests not to let King George have the apple. While Conner is birthed to Mohawks, who are slaughtered, he realizes that most colonists are pretty chill.

I think the Founding Fathers are going to be a weird group for Templar vs Assassin. Canon says that they are Templars but the Revolution was decidedly not very Templar like. Unless they paint the Founding Fathers as traitorous assholes who built a puppet government it wont work, and I imagine that that particular depiction would NOT go over well with a majority of the American public.

Yeah it just seems weird that the founding fathers, who are fighting for freedom, are templars, who want to enslave humanity. Theyre just too different.
