I am co-heading a project to voiceover all three of the Phoenix Wright games. Not like the other projects so far, with one guy doing all the voices and such, but we're using an over 20-person cast in an effort to make it seem as professional as possible on no budget. The other main force behind the project is pizzadudemanguy. Not sure if anyone here's seen him on YouTube, he has a fair amount of subscribers.

Here's the issue.

I'm in charge of the scripts. So far, I've done 10 of the 14 cases. The reason I haven't done the other 4 is because I can't find transcripts of them anywhere online. I have been using GameFAQs and Court-Records, but both of them have holes.

So, basically, what I'm asking is this: If anyone with access to the second or third game has free time and a copious amount of generosity, could you potentially transcribe a case? I'm going to be transcribing too, but it will go much faster if we got a few people working on a case each.

These are the cases:
From Justice for All, we're missing Big Top Turnabout.
From Trials and Tribulations, we're missing The Stolen Turnabout, The First Turnabout, and Recipe for Turnabout.

I'm going to start working on The First Turnabout tomorrow or today. If anyone can help by doing a different case, please let me know. Acknowledgement will be given, of course.

That sounds like an extremely time-consuming task, but the project seems to be worth it.
I... I'm kind of considering transcribing Big Top Turnabout, however the copy of JFA I have (which isn't mine) is the European version, which may have inconsistencies with the US version. I'm not promising anything, but I'm wondering if it would be a problem to you guys, and you'd rather not take the risk of having inconsistencies.

Or they could voiceover the whole turnabout in a British accent.

Oh, it has been time consuming. I've put in over fifty hours working on the scripts this last week and a half, and I can only imagine how long it's been taking Pizza to get the clips together. And yes, he hope it'll be worth it; so far, all the voiceovers we've seen haven't been of very good quality and only have the first case or so.

I'm looking into inconsistencies right now, and I'm not seeing anything, but I'll keep looking. We don't need a full transcript with all the extra stuff in it, just the necessary dialogue to get through the plot. Dialogue trees where you can go either direction, however, we'll need both options to see what choice the clips use.

Also, we spent the first five years of our lives as cockney pickpockets, so I think we could manage.

Alright, give me some time to think about it, I'll tell you if I'm gonna do it tomorrow.

I could start on Recipe for Turnabout tomorrow. I am wondering if you could give me a link to where this is happening though, because I hope you can understand my hesitation in randomly spending hours with huge walls of text :U.

Oh, and if Le Great Handsome Oppressor decides not to do it, I would prefer Big Top Turnabout, because I've actually played Trials and Tribulations recently, but not Justice For All.

In my Trials game I JUST started The Stolen Turnabout. I'll consider transcribing it for you, Stu.

So far it's going to be on pizzadudemanguy's YouTube channel, here. The project is going to be announced on that channel within the week. (We didn't want to announce it too early since we had so much editing to get through, but now that we're almost completely done we can actually start recording in two weeks)

Ignore the Phoenix Wright Dubbed already on his channel...that's when he was toying with the idea a year ago, and is NOT actually our recording of the first case.

Great Handsome Oppressor, it doesn't look like there are any inconsistencies, aside from a few localization things (like celebrity references and such) that we can change pretty easily.

Thank you both SO much; I know I'm asking a lot from you guys. If you can't do it, I understand. I mean, the reason I'm asking is because I was hesitant to do it myself in the first place, so

Anyway, I've started The First Turnabout today, so nobody worry about picking up that one.

EDIT: My God, Crispy, that's perfect. I mean, if you decide to transcribe. It's up to you. But that's all three cases right there if you do...thanks! I'm really excited now, everything went better than expected.

Alright, I'll do Turnabout Big Top. I have a few questions that I'll send by PM.

I've got a question that I'll post here because it'll probably be useful for everyone.

How extensive does the transcribing need to be? If I, for instance, used a guide to get through the turnabout, and then copied all the dialogue (including dialogue trees), would that be fine? Or should I be including conversations that can be skipped, or random examinations?

(I do realize though that examinations that lead the story forward would be necessary, of course)

Edit: For example, I've written Recipe for Turnabout up to where you are given control now. I can either ask Maya what to do or if she has any ideas, or just go straight to the detention center and not bother. What do I do then?

Thanks a lot, both of you!

Unba, we don't use any of the extraneous dialogue, just what we need to get through the story. We MAY end up adding some funny parts back in, but they will be so small we can do it ourselves. We don't need any of the unneccesary examinations, only the essentials. The only tricky part is when you get to dialogue trees where any of the answers are acceptable; we'll need all those written down. In cases where there's an answer that's obviously the good or the bad one, though (like in those numerous times where it says "Object" or "Wait and see" but waiting and seeing would lead to your client getting found guilty and so Mia makes you object anyway) we take the obviously good path.

So in short, you don't need to ask Maya those questions. Very rarely are they actually good, plot-serving conversations.

You know what makes Jean Armstrong ten times more annoying? Copying down his dialogue.

By the way, if you would like, I could upload what I've done so far. I'm taking a break.

Also, I'l including ALL dialogue. Like, All of it.

I don't have any of the games, but I'm more than willing to do voiceovers. I'll send you voice examples if you're interested.
