CLASSY ISLAND BUILDING RULES: By Wordsmith

Okay so I got a couple things to say

First off, I would like to present to the board the name for our group of proletariats/admins for approval

Since Ame technically isnt part of the Extraordinary League of Gentlemen, I thought we could be the Mod Squad, like AZ has. But since we're classy, we shall use the full words. The Moderation Squadron.

Secondly, I put up signs in AZland saying that by building there you are agreeing to let the Moderation Squadron make any aesthetic changes we feel necessary to your structure if we think it looks ugly (no offense to the builder), its just that this is a theme park we're talking about.

I dont think anything built so far is too bad so you guys dont need to worry.

This basically applies to all future structures that are built

You mean that rollercoaster? It was pretty neat. Maybe try adding something to make it look prettier? Did you make this with your own supplies?

I happen to be a fan of Minecraft Science and my work with explosives is well known, so I'll look into this for you, Wordsmith.

Using hundreds of explosives to make a creeper face? Color me impressed.

Alright. The results are in.

Firstly, TNT hurts. I strongly recommend that if you do this, the base upon which the player's seat rests should be made of a weak material like dirt. As the damage caused by a TNT explosion ignores physical barriers, something like stone will require the TNT to be closer to the player and therefore hurt them more when it explodes. With 5 squares between the TNT and a dirt base, I took no blast damage and the base was still reliably destroyed.

Second, minecarts are prone to being shoved around by accident, so it's quite easy to push them off the ledge, never to be seen again. You'll need to block the path in front of them and keep the railroad tracks fixed to the base if you want to avoid any unintentional drops.

Finally, I definitely took no fall damage when the thing went off. It's completely safe, and there is absolutely no variation in how you fall. I didn't test it, but if someone were properly secured, it might be possible to drop them from a theoretically limitless height into a 1x1 hole every single time.

You'll want to use obsidian near the TNT section of the pillar, of course, and in terms of remote activation, just cutting out every other block in the pillar and placing redstone torches on the exposed surfaces will get you a compact circuit.

I'm going to get around to uploading a video of a trap that drowns players, but do tell me if there's anything else you need.

Lava is considered an extremely dangerous substance. Do not use it for your own ends. If you must have lava, ask a moderator or administrator, and they will help you further.

Man I should be a mod just for this.

I love lava. There are currently about 20-30 buckets in use in my trap castle maze thing in Radical Islands. No proletariats were on, so when I made it I was just like "eh". It was all in an enclosed space, like all my lava projects (mostly interesting lighting up to this point).

I consider myself a lava expert. :pseudo:

And if anyone brings up the lavafall on Komo's server, that was an accident made in imperfect lava handling conditions. :V

Also if (when I get my laptop and Minecraft back from being repaired hurr hurr) I am on the server and anyone needs some assistance with some Redstone Circuits, I'd be pop flyin' to help. I HELPED MALUM MAKE A DISPENSER OF DEATH and I made my own and several noise machines and the Legend of Zelda secret found tune thing (it's on Radical Islands, on the way to my floating death castle thing. Unless someone was messing with the note boxes, it should all be in tune).

Just wondering, is there any chance that I could re-build my Awkward Creeper once we get a good location for AZLand and iron out some kinks?

No, it was a giant Creeper statue/lookout tower that was wearing the Pi shirt, Katie's hat and jeans. I thought it would look cool if it was put as the centerpiece for AZLand.
