I'd make a thread about single games, but racing games have small market appeal. Not sure if this will sink or swim, given no one has even tried this from what I can see.

ANYWAY, I have...

Arcade style:
need for speed II (PC)
NFS: Hot persuit (the old one) (PS1)
NFS: Prostreet (Wii)
GT: Pro Series (Wii)
Mario kart DS
F-Zero GX (GC)
(want) Mario kart 3DS
(want) NFS: hot persuit (the new one)

Sim style:
CART precision racing (PC)
Forza Motorsport 2 (360)
FM3 (360)
(want) Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)

and for the starting discussion:
Any opinions on the Red Bull X1 prototype in GT5?

I may get one when I find the cash.

Also, while I was at NYCC, I was playing NFS World and I picked the Toyota Corolla GT Apex (ie the AE86 ie the "86" from the anime) and like 50 people passed the booth saying somthing about Inital D.

Love me some racing games. Not sure why I never play them.

dunno if sonic R counts but i'd guess it would. also, I swear this sounds like something out of sonic R. Maybe it's just me.

Was that in an arcade and then it was yellow and had the little pod handles and stuff on the side? I think I played it in Elementary School when they brought in arcade cabinets and stuff

It was. I played it once and it was fucking awesome, albeit a bit to get used to when you first controlled it like that.

They have the arcade version at our local Chuck E. Cheese's. It's great.

POD was a classic for me
Planet of Death
pod was my first racing game ever.

I loved the story about it. The planet is dying, and there is one ship left. the winner of the race gets to survive the virus "pod" and escape.

Also lol 1997 cgi.
