It's an action MMO set in the past of Mabinogi's universe, and the PCs play one of five characters integral to the backstory of said game (I never actually played Mabinogi, so that's about all I know in that regard). You still get to customize your appearance and stuff, the "character" just takes the place of a class.

It's also FREE~!! And absolutely gorgeous for a free game. Here's a good gameplay video.

Another nice point is that stuff in the pay store is never game content, it's all appearance things, extra storage, etcetera. So you never have to spend a cent to play through all of the content.

I'm playing on the West server, and I'll be setting up an Awkward Zombie guild if enough of us feel like playing. :o

My friends and I just switched to Eastern server to accomodate some East Coast pals of ours. Us Texas people can use either one and be fine haha. But that means that none of us are near level cap yet since we don't really have a lot of time to play with school and such. If I remember correctly I have Fiona at 15 and an Evie at 12 or so. I haven't played in a few days so I don't exactly remember.

Unfortunately we have our own guild and such but if anyone on here plays Eastern we can run dungeons together or whatever haha. I'm not often soloing but on occasion I'll pop in to go fishing or play the daily AP bonus dungeons or something.

I need to make me a Lann again because I love dual-weild but right now if I see the beginning dungeons and little "run around and show this to this person" quests again I will scream.

I'm actually downloading it right now because me and a couple friends were gonna try it. We're in New York though, so we'll be on the east server.

Eesh, I may as well move over. I was informed that West/East was in a global sense.

It's not. It's national. We used to be on West server, but our East Coast friends were having horrible lag. I mean you can try, but it might screw you over a little. Depends on how much you can tolerate lag, sticking and possibly crashing.

Oh hey, a thread about this game.

I started playing it on the open beta after I got completely bored with WoW, and I was pretty well hooked from the start. I've only got a Lann character so far, named Demizatzu, on the East Server. Hit me up sometime, I hate soloing stuff.

I already made a guild for myself and the friend that did come play, but I'll quickly defer to an AZ guild when/if one is created.

So...is the official AZ server East now? I kind of want to play this, though I'm not sure I have the time.

It's incredibly friendly to casual play. It's one of the things I love about the game.

So I've been hunting around for a way to transfer servers, and I can't seem to find it. Anyone know if it's possible without making a new character?

Absolutely not. Vindictus is an action game, and it really feels more like a single player game that you just happen to be able to play with other people. Furthermore, there's no type of class balance you have to worry about for parties, like other MMOs.

I'm gonna have to agree. Feels more like a single player hack n' slash than an mmo. I've really been enjoying this since I downloaded it. I've got a lvl 9 Fiona and I don't know that I'll try the other two before I've maxed this one out.

It really is, haha. And that's why I really enjoy it so much; casual hack and slash is great for when I don't really have all day to play games, and it's something I can do with my friends. And soloing isn't so bad either; it's a chance to do those solo Oath of Honours that I otherwise wouldn't get to do.



Pretty sure you can't right now, although after release they may include the option.
