I don't understand the fanaticism some people have for Pikmin.

I played the first game, which was okay...

But it didn't set my world alight.

One of my brothers friends once destroyed my glorious army of White pikmin in one day

It took me a week to amass 165 white pikmin and he walked every last one of them into the water and let them drown

Only ever played the first one, but my wee sister owns the second.
I only ever got as far as that fire-breathing rock-throwing beetle monstrosity before I decided I was in waaaaaaay over my head.
It was fun while it lasted though, I might give it another go later. Those snake birds were excellent

Yeah, but they were more enjoyable to face than that bloody beetle. Or those little fire breathing moles. Or those jumping frog things. Or that freaky ghost-frog that hatched if you didn't destroy the egg on time.

Now that I think about it, I was really really bad at that game.

Protip:
Don't touch the egg.

It doesn't hatch if you don't attack it. Also, it only appears on days 2-15. Everyday after that it isn't there.

I liked to start new games and just run through until the emperor dude. He is unreasonably difficult to beat.
