The DS is now the biggest fucking cash cow I have ever seen. I knew I wouldn't get the DSi because they would just release another one immediately after and OH LOOK

It's far too early for me to pass any kind of judgment on it.

But this does officially make the DSi XL the DS equivalent of the Game Boy Micro.

Remember, Nintendo is a hoard of stupid Jews who hate it's fans and will screw them over to make a quick buck. Just like they did with the remakes of all the Pokemon games, the Wii's overload of casual games with a few decent games in between, and the desperate attempt to keep the Legend of Zelda and Mario franchises afloat.

Seeing how my DS is slowly breaking down into atomic pieces, I could use a new handheld. I am a bit saddened that it's not saying anything about GB/C/A compatibility, though.

I think Nintendo just expects people to emulate GBC/GBA games anyway so they'll put an SD card slot on it

This isn't like the DSLite or DSi, this is actually a new generation.

Gen1: Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket
Gen2: Gameboy Color, Pocket Gameboy Color
Gen3: Gameboy Advanced, Gameboy Advanced SP, Gameboy Micro
Gen4: DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSiXL
Gen5: 3DS

AKA, this is a brand new console, with a higher graphics level. You can't play 3DS games on your old DSes.

The 3DS is supposed to have power roughly comparable to a Gamecube.
