We need a general Zelda talk thread. The old one is dead and I think it's because it mostly started with the announcement of Spirit Tracks.

So now we have the Hylian Armory, a brand new Zelda thread complete with a title worthy of the many Zelda fan sites around.

With E3 coming up in June, be prepared to hear a lot of new info regarding Zelda Wii.

Let's start this off with something interesting taken from http://www.zeldadungeon.net/

Zelda Wii To Utilize Vitality Sensor?

"In a recent interview with gamesâ„¢, Shigeru Miyamoto hinted to the possible inclusion of Zelda Wii Utilizing the Vitality Sensor in the upcoming adventure. The vitality sensor was announced back at E3 2009 but there has been very little information concerning the device since. At the time, the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, stated that video games may sound be used as a form of relaxation. Sure, video games are meant to be relaxing in a way, but I’m not quite sure Zelda Wii, with the utilization of the Wii Motion plus is the type of game you’d want to sit back and relax with. Miyamoto had his to say about the Vitality Sensor.
“So maybe you might like to ask me to incorporate the Vitality Sensor into Zelda so that as you become more scared, the enemies become even tougher.”
With both Zelda Wii and the Vitality Sensor likely to be featured at E3 2010, it seems that this will most likely be the next time we get any type of information in regards to either of the two planned items. In my opinion the Miyamoto quote seemed like more of an out of the blue response and there really is no connection between the two items. However, it does make you think outside the box and perhaps the vitality sensor can be used in more interesting ways than originally thought possible. You can check out the original article with the interview over at NOW Gamer."

Also, if you guys don't remember the vitality sensor:

That whole "Fear makes you more likely to die" thing actually sounds kind of fun.

It would force you to stay level-headed through the tough battles.

I'd rather keep the nunchuck. I mean, wasn't the nunchuck used as your shield in the Wii version of Twilight Princess?

I don't want to stick my finger in that thing. :\

Yea, and, uh, it was used as a control stick, among other things. Yeah, this definitely is not going to happen.

Fear making the game harder? That seems very un-Nintendo. I think fear making Link stronger, but harder to control would be pretty clever.

That would be nice, seeing as how that is usually a natural reaction with fear. When you're afraid you get lots of adrenaline, fueling your 'fight or flight' instinct and it does seem to make you stronger momentarily.

But I'm still not sticking my finger in that thing. :\

Man I have no idea what to think.

Probably I'd prefer an analog stick.

.. I'm confused.

How are you supposed to move without the nunchuck?

This does not work for me

I think the only thing keeping me from denouncing Nintendo at this point is Pikmin.

They better not fuck that up.

Why does that thing look sort of like a Wii-compatible Gom Jabbar?

"IT BUUUUUURNS!!!" *removes finger*
