I played it for a while to meet with a friend. It just never appealed to me. It wasn't bad, It was actually O.K. IMO. I just never got into it.

I can't even remember my username for it.

yeah it gets fun once you get some of your levels over 20 at least.

I play for the quests and the house Parties

Oh, runescape. The good times we've had. I remember when my friend first told me about Runescape. I had thought the whole MMO thing was amazing at the time. It was a grindfest, but that just made the level ups all the more satisfying. I seem to remember the writing being pretty good, too, at least in the more recent (at the time) quests.

And then came the changes. I was midly upset when the duel arena changed, angry when the wilderness was taken away, and rustled OFF when they removed free trade. It was at that point I canceled my membership. However, apparently most of those problems have been fixed, so maybe I should start playing again. Every couple of months or so I'll log in, walk around a bit, and then log out again.

I actually still have Runescape as my homepage on the computer I use for gaming. I guess I just never got around to changing it.

On a side note, WTF at most popular "free-play". At least 95% of the game is only accessable to members. It's like saying bioshock is a free game because the demo is free.

Edit: Also, was it REALLY necessary to make "firemaking" a skill? How much skill does it take to hold a match to some logs?

1000 hours or more of free play content.
