Before I begin, I just want to say that I realize this is old news, but I just found out about this, so I'm making a topic about it.

http://www.centralgadget.com/sega-axes- ... eason-559/

Basically, they made up an excuse for why they couldn't add Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, saying that the lock-on technology used for those games were "too advanced" to add to the collection.

As hackers, and even Sega themselves proved in the past, this is bullshit, seeing as it's just combining 2 ROMs properly. Anyway, just read the article for details.

Either way you look at it, Sega really has lost touch with their die-hard fans.

That one was entirely true... in that it would be too hard to animate in about 5 minutes!

But... I have a GameCube Sonic games collection which has everything - including Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles the Echidna 2.

Can't the Xbox360 handle 16-bit generation software or something?

Oh dear.

That makes two of us.
So, apparently Sega can't even get the old Sonic games right anymore?
That's kinda sad if you think about it.

They don't even care anymore.

Poor little blue hedgehog is dying from overuse and stupid owners.

It's never a good buisness plan to abuse your mascot, Indigo.

In fairness, Knuckles is a pretty craptacular mascot.

I really only liked Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.

Whatever happened to the Chao Garden?

Knuckles was actually my favorite, lol. He could punch stuff, glide and climb (and dig, but that wasn't that cool).

Dead head fred was not a genesis game. or made by sega.

also the rest of those games are on sonic genesis collection, which you can probably get for $15 if you look. and if you need your sonic fix the sonic collections on the gamecube/PS2 work.

eh I'd probably care more if I had a PS3/360.
