Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games?

Was the previous Mario & Sonic game any good?

How was it online?

Help me decide if I want to buy it.

The first one was horribly stupid. This one doesn't look much better. I just find all Olympic sports boring. Plus I'm not a Sonic fan, so there isn't much appeal in buying this game.

I didn't get the previous Mario & Sonic game because I wasn't really interested in the Olympic events, I'm more interested in this one because I prefer the winter events to the mid-year ones.

The thing about winter games?

You can probably find more enjoyable versions in a non-Olympics themed game. Like, I know it's an older game, but SSX Blur is probably going to be immeasurably more fun than the Mario and Sonic game.

I guess you can't replace things like Gymnastics or Ice Skating though.

Yeah, I'd just say this. If you're interested in the kind of sports played in the winter games, just look for games specializing in that area. Buying one that tries to do them all will ultimately be at least a little disappointing and probably a bit of a cheddar (and time, if you do enjoy it) waster.

Nintendo's making good games.

It's the other developers who see it as a dumping ground for whatever they want.

I'm betting this game would be good if Nintendo developed it, not Sega.
