E102's plot in a nutshell:

- Eggman creates E102
- E102 destroys the Sonic doll
- E102 kills his brother
- E102 captures the tailed frog
- E102 goes to the past
- E102 finds his brother being rebuilt
- E102 finds Amy and suddenly releases her
- E102 fights Sonic
- E102 stops because of Amy
- E102 leaves Eggman
- E102 rambles about "saving" his brothers, then goes out to destroy them
- I say E102 alot
- E102 destroys E103
- E102 destroys E104
- E102 reboards the egg carrier after it sank
- E102 destroys E105
- E102 fights E101MKII
- E102 wins and sees a bird come out of his brother, E102 falls over and blows up.

tl;dr: Eggman's robot leaves him, destroys his other robots, and the explodes after seeing a bird.

I don't know, apparently, Eggman uses birds to power robots.

AND APPARENTLY, HE'S STILL CALLED ROBOTNIK.

This has been in every single Sonic game since the first one.

Eggman's robots are built using an animal for it's CPU. It falls under "The villian isn't evil, he's just really really crazy." In Eggman's case, he believes that the world would be better off if he can enhance every living creature by turning them into robots.

That explains SOOOOOOOO MUCH!
And it makes perfect sense!

Dude, seriously? Man, you're the kind of guy that'd read The Lord Of The Rings, and when asked to summarise it, you'd say "The fellowship wanted to destroy the ring because they really hated tacky jewellery".

I thought the animals inside were just used as a power source.

Gamma's storyline kinda confused me on that though.

At least it makes more sense than Amy.

In Sonic's story, a robot comes after her, she's screaming, and a second later, she's staring at a sign for an amusement park and running in for fun.

I don't know.

But frankly, that would be even stupider. What the hell sorta garbage power supply would an animal be? At least the idea of using an animal as the CPU, while silly, has some grounds in logic, considering a living animal's brain is pretty similar to a CPU.

Then again, considering this is Sonic we are talking about, you could daisies well be right.

You remind me of 'The Matrix', and that human beings would actually be pretty crappy batteries.

Okay, so let me try make a /proper/ summary. With step by steps based on the actual in-game levels.
E102 goes through training.
He completes completes training. As a final task, he has to fight his 'brother', E101 to see whose the more capable bot.
After winning, he is assigned to catch a tailed frog (who swallowed a Chaos Emerald), along with E103, 4 & 5.
After catching it, he becomes the head 'bot of the E series while the other three are teleported... somewhere.
...at some point, he gets sent into the past for a reason I can't remember by someone whose backstory is way too long to explain.
Then he finds E101, having been destroyed and in the process of being rebuilt. Emotional moment for him.
This is followed with Eggman assigning him to guard Amy, whose been taken prisoner by Eggman, along with her bird that she's been protecting. The bird holds a locket with itself, and two other birds. This sparks a reaction with E102, who starts retaining memories of... things. They're not clear memories, but enough to make him realise he's more than just spare parts. This in combination with a speech from Amy wants E102 want to release the two from the prison.
When E102 gets out, Sonic and Tails are there, and Eggman (who hasn't noticed Amy's escape), orders E102 to defeat them.
As E102 does defeat them, and is about to go for a killing blow, Amy steps in and tells him not to. Long story short, E102 goes rebel and runs off.
Another long story short, he later comes to the conclusion that his brothers, E101-E105, are actually animals imprisoned in robot suits. Y'know, like all the other robots. So he sets out to destroy them.
And he does.
All of them.
By the end, after having destroyed the re-done E101, and having suffered critical injuries, they both explode. And the creatures inside are two birds, the two that were in the image that Amy's bird had.

Granted, I left out a lot of detail, such as that E102 did come to the conclusion that he was one of the birds in the image, and I left out the whole emotional parts (after all, a movie isn't just what its plot synopsis is), but it's enough to show that Supermario566... probably had a major concussion playing through the entirety of the game!
