Even better than FORTRESS FOREVER.
I guess I'll describe it briefly for those that haven't played it to build interest.
One of the most balanced games I have ever seen (well, if you don't count the SRS, which is the equivalent of the AWP), and it's one of the only games I've ever seen make a slow, round based game FUN.
People often compare it to counter strike, due to having to waiting for rounds to finish to respawn at the respawn points, choosing from a selection of weapons at the start of the round, and earning better weapons as the game goes on.
There are massive differences from counter strike, though...
Teams swap spawn points each round, so that eliminates "but I want to be on THAT team so I can do THIS".
Buying weapons isn't based on cheddar, it is based on your rank which you increase through killing people, winning rounds, and completing the objective, guns are free as long as you are at the proper rank. So the only way to drop rank, and lose your good guns is to team kill.
Three classes, Recon, Assault, Support. Recons are fast, lightly armored, and their gun selection mainly includes silenced SMGs, with a shotgun and a few rifles and sniper rifles at later ranks. Assaults are medium armor and speed, a wide variety of guns. Supports are incredibly slow, but have a HUGE lead in armor, they can take quite a few hits. They have pretty much the same guns as the assaults, but they can get the better ones at earlier ranks (such as the MX(best assault rifle in the game) at only corporal, which is only 4xp!). They also don't take bonus damage to the head, which is amazing, but, they are also slightly larger than the other classes so they are easier to hit in open areas, so they dominate indoor areas.... but then there are grenades, which will almost always kill you in 1 hit and are hard to dodge when you're so slow. The only way you're going to dodge them is if you see them being tossed so you have time to get away.
Recons and assaults can sprint, assaults have limited sprint. Supports can't sprint. Recons can also leap for a big speed increase while sprinting, but this drains a lot of stamina.
Recons and assaults can use a cloaking device. It's not completely invisible and very easy to spot in light areas and lasts a limited time. You'll make noise and a bright flash of light when you turn it on.
Each class has their own vision mode. Recons have night vision(currently the worst vision), it'll blind you in all but dark areas. Assaults have motion vision, which makes everything an odd color making it hard to distinguish things, but it highlights movement so it's used to spot moving cloaked people or just any enemy movement while sniping. Supports have thermal vision, which turns everything purple and highlights hot objects and people orange/yellow. It can let you see through smoke and see people easily, but it will be harder to spot cloaked people unless the areas are VERY VERY bright, such as the glass hallway in Ghost or everywhere not in the house in Isolation(snow and sunny day = GG cloaked people)
For grenades, Recons get one detpack per round(at Corporal), which can be placed on the ground and detonated from anywhere with the trigger(and if you die, anyone can pick up the trigger and detonate it). Assaults have one frag grenade per round, they explode fast, kill in 1 hit unless you're a support that's quite a fair distance from the blast, and are just plain annoying. Supports get two smoke grenades per round. If you die, anyone can pick up dropped grenades, so if you're a support make sure you know which grenade you are throwing. One time I tossed a frag at my feet and didn't realize it, I want to cover myself with smoke.
Each class has unique weapons they can get at the Liutenant rank (20 xp, final rank). Actually, the recons don't get a unique LT weapon, they just get some more weapons that the other classes had back at Private rank. Assaults get the AA13, which is a super powerful auto shotgun, and the SRS. Supports get the PZ(which I like to call the "PeaZy"), which is an insanely accurate machine gun with a massive clip size.
The biggest thing of all is LEANING. You can lean to the left and right, which presents less of a target for people to shoot when leaning around corners. This makes fighting very interesting, and challenging, as you have to aim better.
The ghost, the objective you are after, gives you wall hacks when you hold it, you can't shoot while holding it and must drop your main weapon so you're stuck with a pistol, and a big booty red beacon is placed on the ghost holder, so it really doesn't help the holder much, but they can tell their team mates the general location of enemies at the cost of being very vulnerable and giving away their own position to the entire other team.
Did I say briefly? Oops.
Get it and get on the Convict Gaming servers!
If you're a minor, don't let your parents watch you play it though, the main objective(the object you must capture) is the naked torso of a female robot.
I suggest playing Support before trying the other classes, because you won't die so fast and get access to some of the better guns very early (The MX is amazing and only takes 4xp to get, don't bother with the silenced version, supports don't need silence, and it's a little weaker so that's no good)
And if you're a real man, you'll always join the Winrai, only noobs join the Noob Skill Force.
