Also happening 4:00 A.M. - 5:00 A.M. PT tomorrow and 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. PT tomorrow.

So based on my experiences from the test-fire, here's how it comes down here.

Each match is set on one of the few multiplayer maps in the game, you get 4 pre-set loadouts that you have their own primary, secondary, and special. From the games I've played, it's tricky to get used to, but you WILL get used to the weird control sooner or later, just keep the controller at a reasonable position on or near your lap. The game has 4 seperate weapons to pick from too.

First is the Splatter and Splatter JR, these two are highly similar yet aren't, the splatter junior seems to use way less ink but has less range, while the regular splattergun is just your typical paintball gun you can spam.

The Charge rifle is this games sniper rifle, or M14, a fully charged shot is a 1 hit KO, and dear god it's satisfying to snipe an opponent, it's just a bit hard to get ink the ground without being proficient at killing.

The Splat Roller is by far the best weapon to use for spreading ink, but on an offensive side, it's not that great, it can be good for stealthy plays like getting behind your enemies, but this thing appears to be specifically designed for spreading ink so your team can win.

Each match is about 2 or so minutes long, so they tend to not last long, and are really fun to boot. You can pull off alot of tricks in squid form, and it's a great way to hide from opponents in fear of giving them more turf.

tl;dr good game will buy

There were a couple connection hiccups, but besides that this game is great so far.

I actually found myself really liking the plain Splattershot, it's nice and accurate.

The roller is fun too but man can you get kited to hell and back when you use it. I also embarrassingly aimed the Killer Wail down to the ground at one point right in front of an enemy, it was pretty hilarious.

Didn't really play much of the charger of splattershot jr, but I feel like the charger is gonna shine in ranked mode way more than turf war.

From my experience the Splat Roller is akin to playing as a train - very little can actually derail you except a sneaky assassin coming up from behind, a random explosion, or another train crashing into you and causing both of you to violently explode.

Or maybe it's just me and the group of dudes I was playing with weren't very good and that's how it always ended up happening. Either or.

It was fun! I didn't do too well, but it sure was entertaining. New game on my list, huh.

I couldn't handle the sniper and kept getting shot as a roller...

The hardest part will be to get some coordination into your team. Third-party communications are basically a must. I don't understand why Nintendo won't have voice chat. Their argument might work for those random matches as in the demo, but certainly not for games with *friends*

But if their really your friends, you can just open a 3rd party comms

I see the meta of this game being 1 roller to paint the ground, 1 charge rifle for area control and defense, and 2 splatter for full-out offensive capabilities. I like the roller more as an item to secretly get away with splatting half the map in your ink when none is looking.

Played it today with my siblings (we took turns) Had a lot of fun! I'm better at the splat roller but not bad at the splatshot. I figured out that motion controls are not for me (I tend to shake when I get excited) All in all it was awesome and I had fun. Only think I didn't like was when my older bro kept telling me, "keep watch on your ink! Look out for your enemies! Wow you suck!" Really bro, I've only played for 3 rounds and you expect me to be a pro? :shakefist:

Anyway, Will buy! Loved it!

Yea but people keep complaining how their computer is elsewhere and whatnot and you can't have game audio at the same time when you got headphones on etc etc yadda-yadda. Hard enough to get people to play, really. -__-

Only had a less than half an hour of playtime because I was mistaken in whenever the sessions were as they never displayed any of that in my timezone.

The time I did spend on it however was actually pretty great, as I managed to win 3 out of the 4 games I've had. I lover the splatroller, though it's not as great to use on walls. Not too fond of the gyro controls, though. :shakefist:
