I'm currently playing Final Fantasy IV, the PSVita version I got came with Interlude and After Years, so I'll play those after for sure. I'm currently at the part where you get the Airship, and is the game supposed to retardly easy? I'm breezing through it, I beat Cagnozone (I probably butchered his name) without even losing a single party member (His weakness is so obvious).

This is one of those series I try so desperately to get into yet simply can't, I've played FF7 as a kid but barely got into it, I also recall getting somewhat far in the GBA remakes of Final Fantasy 1 and 2(I think it was 2?), but after that, I just get bored. It's difficult for a Turn-based RPG to get my attention, which is why I prefer series like Kingdom Hearts and stuff like that, less turn-based, more actual fighting.

while its not final fantasy liraxus, Star Ocean makes some pretty good games that are basically final fantasy with real time combat.

take a look at SO:Till the End of Time for PS2, and SO:The Last Hope for 360 (maybe ps3)

end of time is better than hope imo but i thought the plot was pretty fuckin awesome in time so

Hate to tell you mate, but I'm mostly neutral with FF13, it's not the worst thing I've ever played, hallway status aside.

I heard FF13-2 was good, though.

Never got around to beating any of them, I had a bad third disc of FFVIII that crashed near the end, I lost my FFIX saves also somewhere in the third disc and I never managed to get into FFVII.

The only FF game I've truly played is FFX and a little of X-2. I did pick up a copy of XIII, but I haven't touched it since I got it.

Yesssss, FF IV is my favorite! Anyways, yeah, Cagnazzo is pretty easy, but the game definitely gets more difficult, especially by the time you get to fighting the other Archfiends. Definitely not the hardest in the series, but don't expect everything to be as easy as it is now.

I've also never beaten a Final Fantasy game. I've gotten really far in several of them, but never beaten any of them. My favorite is either VI or IX. VI was really good, but after the halfway point it lost its sense of purpose and I just got bored.

IX is probably the best for newcomers.

This thread's made me want to play FF IV again. I'm about to start Mt. Ordeals.

The best FF game to come out in year would be Bravely Default. It has everything great about the series, in a really classic way, with solid gameplay. I'm hoping to see them improve on it with the sequel.

Anyway, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is super good and chokefull of content, plus there's a lot of DLC if the 221 tracks already in the game weren't enough for you. It's very fun and the versus mode is really cool. The single-player quest mode is also a nice way to play songs at random if you don't know what to pick.
you right though DLC is always awful and every game should be judged based on only that
