Basically, if I were to describe it as simply as possible, I'd say that it's essentially Tomodachi Life as a RPG.

Now, for the slightly longer version: this is a RPG where your Miis fulfill the major roles, from protagonists to the odd Gandalf-like guide, including the main villain. You have multiple classes (some of which you may have to unlock) to choose from, like the classical Fighter, Mage, Thief and Priest while also including some oddball ones like Cat, Tank, Idol and much more.

I was actually really hoping that this would come to the US (and elsewhere). I liked Tomodachi Life, but it got stale once I ran out of people to add to the island. Not too stale, but just stale enough to make me not want to play it as much. Or maybe I just played it too often...
Not sure if this will be all that different, but the RPG elements (and I use the term loosely) and relationship-building look like oodles of fun to mess around with. I can't wait for it.

EDIT: Yeesh. This releases within DAYS of Splatoon 2... I guess it'll have to wait a little bit for me. That might mean less people buy it, assuming most 3DS owners are planning to purchase a Switch, which would just be too bad.

My only gripe is that you can only order the main protagonist Mii around. I just hope that the allies' AI is smart.

Otherwise, the fact that we can use Mii central to share Miis between us should be neat.
